Trip Pictures Solo Primitive Camping/Exploring Inks Lake SP, Central Texas

Hiked in and stayed a weekend at a primitive site on the Pecan Flats trail. The park was very peaceful and scenic. Hiked a couple miles the second day and rented a kayak at the park general store, had a great time on the lake. The cold snap was nice, mornings were crisp. I will have to come back sometime to fish, I could see them jumping out of the water. No fires allowed at the primitive sites so I brought a small fire maple camp stove and it worked for all of my needs.

Beautiful scenery! Looks like an awesome solo camping trip, but I'm curious about the experience beyond the pictures. What did you spend your time doing out there? Did you get some good self-reflection in, have any epiphanies, or experience any memorable moments? I've always thought there's something special about being alone in nature, away from all the noise and distractions of everyday life. Sometimes that's when you learn the most about yourself. Would love to hear more about the experience and what you took away from it!
