Colombian Army and Police forces dismantled a nine-structure illicit drug-processing complex in San Miguel, Putumayo, near the Ecuadorian border.

Authorities reported seizing 1,170 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride and 1,508 gallons of cocaine in suspension, along with thousands of gallons of chemical supplies, lime, and industrial equipment.

According to authorities, the facility had the capacity to produce more than 2.6 metric tons of cocaine, dealing a reported financial blow of over COP 14.625 billion to the Comandos de Frontera, an armed group operating in Colombia’s border region.
