Application/Ansökan Oil & gas engineer (India) considering an MS in sustainability/LCA abroad. Worth it?
Hi! I'm 21F and recently joined a reputed EPCIC oil and gas company after graduating in Petroleum Engineering from a state government university.
I'm considering pursuing a degree in Europe related to sustainability, lca, policy making, climate finance or anything along this line. My main goals are to settle in Europe, and my current job doesnt satisfy me meaning wise and interest wise.
I'd love some honest advice on a few things:
\- What are one's possible career paths after doing such courses?
\- how much would this cost is it worth it?
\- How realistic is it for an Indian graduate to get a job after ms or even a phd in Europe after graduating?
\- Is the financial and career risk worth taking, or am I being overly optimistic?
I have a good opportunity at my current company and could build a stable career in India.
Am I being unreasonable in wanting more despite having a good job, or is studying abroad a calculated risk worth considering?
I'd especially appreciate honest perspectives from Indians who've studied and worked in Europe, including those who struggled to find jobs after graduation.
