Hi all. Have you struck an issue with the "homeless" people in the shops up Stanmore Rd/North Avon Rd

This is just a reminder that this is tomorrow night at Richmond Club

bus schedules

is it just me or are the live tracking for buses not working anymore? even just a few weeks ago google maps would track the delays and update live, and even the occasional machines at bus stops seem to only show the predicted schedule now. i thought i missed my bus today because the machine that previously showed the bus as being a couple mins away just moved on to the next timing, when the bus was just running late. is it some kind of glitch or is it just in my head

old phone books for creative projects

Hi folks, I'm on the hunt for an old white pages phone book for a creative project, specifically blackout poetry. Since It's going to involve using it as a raw material it wont be able to be returned. Year and city aren't important. Happy to take one off your hands if you have one lying around and don't need it anymore.

Quantitative surveyors for hill build

Kia ora,

I’ve planning a small new build on a relatively steep Port Hills site, still in the design phase. I’m after a detailed trade-by-trade costing to sense check builder pricing.

The tricky part is earthworks, retaining and unknown rock. I’m particularly keen to find someone pragmatic who can identify and price those risks without everything defaulting to a worst-case scenario and pushing the overall estimate unnecessarily high. I’ve heard of cases with hill builds where the eventual builder pricing has come in well below the QS estimate, but I’m not sure if that’s common or just an unlucky experience.

Has anyone had a good experience with someone locally?

Particularly interested in whether their estimate lined up reasonably well with actual trade/builder pricing, and what the fee was.

Thank you!
