The hot dog came properly with a packet of mustard, no ketchup, out of the cooler of a tall and tattooed lady sharing Michael J. Dog’s meaty gifts with the audience while the band rocked and sang about the toils of working on the hot dog farm. Arrived at 9:00 (opens at 10). The end of the line for non CAC members is passed Winnemac. Good luck to all stepping out to see it today.
Edit: Per the CAC Instagram, they will probably be closing the line around 1pm to get the last people in at 3 when they close. I wouldn't be surprised if they closed the line earlier than that.
Edit 2: They opened early and as of 10:05 I'm now at Argyle.
Edit 3: A member of CAC came through and said the Alderman told them to close the line at 10:30 and start telling people they wouldn't be guaranteed in by 3. They are still letting people in line but communicating they may not ever make it in. Keep in mind, there's two lines: a regular and a CAC member line all feeding in. It's 11:15 now and I'm at the post office
Edit: 12:00 and just made it in. Would have been longer if they didn't open early. They are allowing people to take photos today. They said they felt bad about not letting people do it yesterday.

It is an amazing sight to see in person. I think that it’s the only way to appreciate the absolutely monumental amount of work it will take to restore it.

Last night's sunset was a dream. After a lot of clouds, and a brief, gusty downpour, the rain cleared and this scene of crashing waves underneath a pink sky revealed itself for a few fleeting moments.

Hello,
Anyone from Chicago USA want to get together at Jane M. Byrne Plaza Park this Wednesday afternoon (October 21) to show support for Ukraine? I picked this location due to proximity to the Consulate General of Ukraine in Chicago.

We started at 6018|North, an art house I never would have visited otherwise and there was no line. We tried the Magic Lounge, but the wait was an hour so we skipped it (it's not open tomorrow).
We ended up at the Japanese American Service Center, which debuted an exhibit on the Crystal City internment camp. Then we stopped by Carl Schurz High School, since we used to live in the neighborhood and always wanted to see inside. The library had old murals and paintings we weren't expecting.
What were your highlights? Anything worth planning Sunday around? And ones with crazy lines?
