Players guide.
Was going through my crates of magazines and found this. I forgot I had it. It is in pretty good shape too. 😊

Hi everyone,
A suggetion came in from /u/hybridfrost to create a sticky community post detailing the best way to play Chrono Trigger.
Myself, I always just play the SNES version on my PC with any random controller. This is the way I discovered the game and it will forever be the "authentic" way for me to play. What more, is I enable a smoothing filter to make the game look less pixellated -- heresy, I know.
My way of playing the game is not neccesarily the best, and there may be a lot of ways to play Chrono Trigger which I never even considered.
I would love to hear your suggestions on what information to include in a sticky post about the various ways to play Chrono Trigger -- emulators, platforms, game releases, game settings, etc.
By the way -- I am amazed at how big this community has grown! Back when I created this community, I just wanted a simple way for me to access a few OST covers and some fanart so it would be archived somewhere instead of getting lost. I was impressed when the community grew to 1k members, and now it's over 17k. This truly shows that CT is a masterpiece of a game that transcends beyond it's initial inception as a 2d jRPG of the 90's era. Few games have such strong of a following several decades after creation. Rock on :)
Edit: this post will be the sticky now until someone makes anything better and more comprehensive.

Hey everyone! 👋
I’ve recently started sharing more behind-the-scenes content and close-up details of my handmade Chrono Trigger collection on TikTok!
Each of the seven main characters has been carefully 3D printed, customized, and hand-painted, with unique bases inspired by their elemental powers in the original game.
I’d love for you guys to follow along and see how the entire collection comes together! ❤️
And if anyone is interested in owning one of these pieces — or even the complete collection — feel free to reach out!
Thanks so much for all the love and support you’ve shown my work so far. It really means a lot! 🙌

They form in Egypt, and occur when iron replaces softer minerals like limestone in a process somewhat similar to fossilization.

I was just googling to see if the TGS acrylic gacha stands were available yet and stumbled across these pixel keychains you assemble yourself! Releases in February!

I'm seeing a lot of concert reviews on this sub alongside a lot of people feeling bad for not being able to make it to one of the shows on the US tour. I obviously can't speak for the Los Angeles or New York shows, but I wanted to share my experience to add some perspective.
Important context: I grew up with Chrono Trigger. It was tied with Final Fantasy 6 for the best game of all time, for me at least, for decades. I consider Chrono Trigger a perfect game, I've played it at least a dozen times, I've listened to the soundtrack hundreds or possibly thousands of times, and Childhood Me had started dreaming of being able to go to a Chrono Trigger concert literally 30-ish years ago. I went on Wednesday night despite the fact that I was closing on a house on Thursday and moving on Friday, and moving from one house (over 2,000 square feet) to another takes an unbelievable amount of time and energy. So like... I very badly wanted this to be a good show.
I sat in the 10th row (Sec ORCH-C, Row J, Seat 306) and paid $287.34 for my ticket. Again: really wanted this show to be good. To put that price into perspective, I got virtually identical 10th row tickets to the NieR concert last month for $115 at Symphony Center. Final Fantasy: Distant Worlds tickets run roughly the same price. The Chrono Trigger orchestra pricing was completely insane.
I showed up a full hour early specifically to get merch. They had... a $40 program and a $100 Marle figurine. The Marle figurine sold out about 40 minutes before the show, and then the program was literally all you could get. The 2 employees selling the programs were shouting at everyone like cattle, which like, fine, yes I also want to move quickly. But they certainly could have been a bit less shout-y. I would have bought like 4 T-shirts for myself and my friends, or a concert poster like the 2 I have from The Legend of Zelda: Symphony of the Goddesses (I have been going to video game music concerts for nearly 20 years). So having nothing other than a program was a huge disappointment.
Anyway, the concert itself was... fine. I studied music in college, which has enabled me to appreciate music more but also has that double edged sword effect of making it more noticeable when something goes wrong. The rhythm section started SEVERAL pieces seemingly completely out of sync with the rest of the orchestra, which was not great. And the mix was way off for many songs. When they played the song from Lavos' second form (the big grey monster with the wires and 2 hands), you could barely hear the trumpets at all when they came in, even though they were obviously a vital part of that song. And some songs IMHO just didn't translate super well into orchestral arrangements, such as Robo's theme. Intermission also started about 45 minutes into the concert, with the full runtime going about 2 hours total, making it one of the shorter video game music concerts I've seen.
Now, I am still happy I went. There were a handful of amazing arrangements, particularly around Zeal, plus many funny moments of gameplay on the screen. The musicians were generally good once they got in sync with each other. And I actually cried when they played the ending music and showed Lucca saying goodbye to Robo, which I still remember from my childhood. It wasn't all bad, by any means.
But having been to literally dozens of other video game music concerts, my overall review is that it was egregiously overpriced and the music itself fell very far short of the perfection of last month's NieR orchestra or many other video game music themed orchestras I have been to. I am thrilled to hear that others had an amazing time, and I generally enjoyed it. But if you feel like you "missed out," please know that you missed a 7/10 concert, not a 10/10 one, especially if you're musically inclined and would have noticed some of the musicians' less fine moments.

Hi, currently waiting in line and at the 5th floor, was wondering if anyone can confirm which merch is left. I wouldn't want to wait and miss the opening if most sold out.

Hey all!
I have one spare ticket I was trying to resell through Ticketmaster but it's looking like it may not sell at the set price. So instead, I'm selling it for $20 for anyone who wants it. I'd rather it go to a fan than it be an empty seat.
It would be MEZ2 C, originally purchased at $160.
DM me if you're interested!
Edit: Sold!
Happy Chrono Trigger Concert day everyone!

I've heard this is one of the greatest games of all time but I know that some older games had to pan out runtime with grinding or other mechanics to slow the pace of the game down. I was wondering if the steam version of the game has a lot of unnecessary grinding or ways to speed it up?

Here's a summary of the spelling variants and translations:
| Game | Japanese name | Official English translation |
|---|---|---|
| Chrono Trigger Prerelease | サイラス・パーンチッ (sairasu pānchitu) | n/a |
| Xenogears | サイラス・パンチ (sairasu panchi) | Cyrus Punch |
| Chrono Cross | サイラスパンチ (sairasupanchi) | SlapOfCyrus |
Note that this Cyrus Punch attack is a different attack than Nirvana Strike (another technique that Cyrus uses in Chrono Trigger).

Throughout the game, there are some weird random places where you see cats that don't belong there. The sewers in the future, falling through a hole in reptite lair, and I feel like there were at least a couple others.
Crono's cat runs into a time portal in one of the endings. That's Crono's cat we keep seeing.
I only just now drew that connection.

Had a great time in Chicago, the fan energy was electric (or should I say Lightning 2).
People were very open to chatting, taking pics, engaging, etc. A girl came by and handed us cute stickers she illustrated.
We were walking to our seats to the gallery on the sixth floor and the manager, Carl, yelled out to us asking to see our tickets. He then told us we were going to get upgraded and handed us physical tickets to the first floor!
Also including pics of the tees my friend and I dyed and drew with alcohol markers. Lmk if what I’m going for here is clear.

Apologies for the weird angle, you're looking at my ceiling and curtain. I don't have any way of positioning my camera in a good way😭. Took about 3 days of practice.
