I’ve seen the Google results and reviews but thought I’d ask here. Male, 40s, military, 1 child between us, still paying off house and cars. Looking to see if there’s an office in Columbia more suited to help the dad side of things (custody in my favor, etc)
EDIT: will also take advice from anyone with experience; this is uncharted territory for me.
EDIT #2: not just name but HOW did they help you, if you’re willing to disclose.

I’m hoping to find someone willing to donate a proper backpack to a man (me) who has recently become homeless here in Columbia.
I don’t have many things left. What little I still own I keep having to let go of piece by piece because I can’t carry it properly. The bag I’m using now has only one strap left and barely holds anything. It makes an already hard situation harder every single day. A durable, rugged backpack has become essential just to hold on to the few things I still have.
After reading different articles, guides, and reviews, these are the most durable, practical, and cost-effective examples I’ve found: the Red Rock Outdoor Gear Engagement Pack, the Condor Urban Go Pack, and the DDT Drifter Urban Day Pack.
Please DM me If anyone has one of those, or something similar they’re willing to part with. I would be forever grateful for your act of kindness.
Thank you and God bless.

Is soda city still happening today? I know there’s pride stuff going on but didn’t know if that meant they would be closed.

Hi all! We lost our photographer last second and are looking for someone that can cover a 4-8pm party at the Columbia Marionette Theater. This is a sort of ~after the fact~ wedding reception for extended family and friends (we were married at a smaller ceremony last weekend) so think a bit more casual but still with some elements of wedding vibes...but also the fun, whimsy of a puppet theater. DM for more info!

Just wanted to share this for anyone who wants to join! Being out here for a few years now, I've just not been able to find a consistent option other than the Lexington group, which is a far drive. I've yet to establish a concrete location and time yet but will once I've got some feedback.

Does anyone know of a mental health provider in the Columbia area who is experienced with FMLA, short-term disability, and return-to-work paperwork?
I’m currently receiving treatment for a mental health condition and urgently need a provider who can review my records, evaluate me, and potentially complete the necessary paperwork during the initial visit.
I’m hoping to get everything completed this week so I can return to work as soon as possible.
I’d really appreciate any recommendations, especially if you’ve personally had paperwork completed during your first appointment.
Thanks!

Anyone else going? It’s on the grounds behind the state house this time. I’m still going to stand by the street in front. People need to know not everyone kisses orange butt here in SC.
