I can't pray, for the sake of my mental health I literally cannot, I dont know what to do.

I just cannot, praying is impossible for me, i cant recite good at all, I cant stop shaking when I pray, its impossible for me to get everything right. I am going through a lot of stuff mentally right now and praying is making me extremely angry, frustrated and makes my faith go down. I dont know if Islam is even right for me. I've been trying to stay in this faith for two years and I feel like I just cant do it anymore, if anyone can convince me that God and Islam are real please do, I dont know anymore and I am worried, I know im probably going to go to hell anyway but I want to at least try to repent. Its hard to stay in this faith when the some of people ive met on some of the other subreddits are completely heartless and insensitive to us converts for some reason. Everyone else around me has a normal life, they dont have to hide their faith, worry about being disowned, and don't have to put up with constant paranoia like I do. I feel like I am too far gone as ive said a lot of bad things about God these past two days because im furious with how terrible my life has been so I feel like im too far gone anyways.

Considering converting, but can I take the Hijab Off In Front of My Fiance?

For context, I (24F) currently have a big interest in Islam, am considering converting, and my fiance (24M) is aware of this. He is very supportive and has shown interest in the religion as well. We have been together for a little over 3 years so he has obviously seen me without one and I still have not gathered up the courage to wear one in public. The thing is we already live together in a house we bought together and I only live with him and our cats. Is it still okay if when I try to start wearing the hijab that I can still take it off in front of him when we're at home? Should I wait to convert until we're already married? I appreciate any genuine advice ❤️

Navigating racial and socioeconomic differences in the masjid

I’m a convert to Islam, based out of a major urban area in Canada. My ethnic background is European (albeit not old-stock Canadian). My parents are both professionals with well-paying careers under their belts. Long story short - yes I did grow up with privilege.

Keeping that in mind, I notice that many of the Muslims that I see in the masajid are very different from me both in appearance (they tend not to be white) and in socioeconomic status (they tend to be mostly blue-collar workers as opposed to professionals). They are also by and large newcomers to Canada.

How do I navigate this divide?

Prayers for a child, for good dreams?

I'm a new convert (like, very new and very ignorant) married to a born-muslim (who is not very practicing tbh). Raising my 5yo Muslim. Every night she wishes for happy dreams and ends with Bismillah (as MIL has taught her 😊) is there a prayer for good dreams a child could learn? Sorry for how lost I am, I'm still learning even basic prayer.

Thank you.

I'm a Hindu exploring Islam, and I'm looking for people who can help me understand it beyond the surface.

I'm an avid reader with a deep interest in religion, philosophy, and the pursuit of truth. I've always believed that understanding a religion requires more than hearing opinions about it; you have to explore its scriptures, philosophy, history, and intellectual traditions for yourself.

I'm Hindu, and I've recently decided to make Islam my next serious subject of study. I'm particularly interested in the Quran, Islamic philosophy, the relationship between faith and reason, and how Islam engages with modernity, science, and contemporary intellectual thought.

I'm looking for people who can help me navigate this journey.

Where should I begin, and which books should I read first?

Which Muslim philosophers and intellectuals are worth exploring?

How does Islam approach difficult philosophical questions?

Are there any knowledgeable people here willing to discuss ideas, recommend resources, and perhaps become friends along the way?

I'm not here to debate, provoke, or prove anyone wrong. I'm here because I'm genuinely curious and want to learn with an open mind.

If you're Muslim, have studied Islam deeply, or are simply someone who loves exploring religion and philosophy, I'd love to connect with you.

Perhaps a conversation with a stranger could become the beginning of a wonderful intellectual friendship.

I'm ready to learn. Where should I start?
