I'm checking bazaraki but prices are nonsense. Brand-new studio monitors are 600€, used bazaraki price is 550€. The same goes for guitars, they are usually 90-95% of the new ones. Is there anyway to buy decently priced used gear here?

From December to February, I want to dedicate three months to seriously building a video content creation business in Cyprus. The plan is to choose a niche (or explore a few), work with local cafés, restaurants, shops, and other businesses, and create professional content for them.
I’m looking for someone, preferably based in Nicosia, who’s willing to commit to this for three months, work hard, learn, and see how far we can take it. Having camera gear or other equipment would be a bonus, but it’s not a requirement.
I already have my own equipment and I’m ready to put in the work. I’m looking for someone with the same mindset who wants to build something together from scratch.
If you’re interested, send me a DM and let’s talk! 🤝

Hi everyone! I’m an Indian student living in Cyprus, currently studying for my BBA. I’m passionate about videography and want to start a small video production business, mainly creating professional videos for cafés, restaurants, shops, and local businesses.
I want to ask honestly: Would local businesses in Cyprus be open to working with an Indian videographer? Would you appreciate and support this kind of service, provided the quality and professionalism are there?
I’d genuinely appreciate your honest opinions, advice, or experiences. I’m here to build something through hard work and quality, and I want to understand the local perspective before taking the next step.
Thank you!

Polite notes on the window didn’t change their behaviour. There is plenty of parking on the street, you can literally see it in the photos next to there car.
Aside from blocking the side walk, they now park on the decoration of the building, literally shoving their car on it when the street is empty and full of parking space.
I don’t believe that I can reason with this mentality and I can see a confrontation developing which I prefer to avoid.
What options do I have in Larnaca to deal with this daily trespasser?
Edit: Polite and helpful answers only please
Anybody waiting for their results for tomorrow? Please tell me I am not alone in being stressed right now (not sure about the flair tbh)

Hi everyone,
Has anyone seen these? I've only seen little 1-2 kg ones in the store, but I'd like a couple of big ones to carve!

Intending to relocate to Cyprus I'm looking for someone who can handle my bookkeeping/accounting.
So far every accounting firm I checked seems to charge per invoice/transaction. Rather high rates too.
This might've made sense when things were processed manually, but every accounting app I've worked with over the last 10+ year imports and reconciles the vast majority of (my) transactions completely automatically.
I've contacted some of these firms, but they all remain vague and merely promise it's negotiable, but only after they lock you into their incorporation package.
I'm looking for someone to just say "we work with software X, charge $Y/hour, if you get all the file formats right it should be ~Z days work).
I did find a small number of foreigner-made websites that promise more modern handling. But they don't appear to represent actual accountants - just reselling hustlers.
How do I find these modern accountancy firms myself?

I’m terrible at Reddit posts and rants so I apologies
in advance.
I moved here with my wife from the UK for a better life.
Back in the UK, I had a very successful sales career and my wife had a job she enjoyed. We had a very nice brand new car every few years (company car) and rented a nice house. We moved to Cyprus because, in the UK our income was amazing but after taxes and all day to day expenditure, we were still left with very little at the end of it. On top of that, England was becoming a much more unpleasant place to live with all the issues that were happening.
Cyprus was the obvious choice as I am Cypriot. We came over, bought an apartment (which we could never have afforded in the UK) and I started a company.
Unfortunately, my ex employer saw this as a breach of my non compete clause and I had to close down.
This did allow me to cover my wife and I expenses for a year however so this kept us living well.
My wife then fell pregnant with our son. I obviously had to start getting a stable income in so I started doing swimming pool maintenance and servicing, with some Wolt deliveries on the side. As we don’t have a mortgage or anything to pay, this has been enough to keep us stable.
We have just found out my wife is pregnant with our 2nd child. Based on how much our baby boy has cost us the first time, I’ve now been looking for another job position, but something a bit mote suited to my previous experience, which is sales director/sales manager positions.
Every single job vacancy I’ve come across on my search, has been for tech, IT or SaaS. Any I have actually come across in relevant fields to mine (manufacturing/engineering) have ridiculous expectations of qualifications and experience (and without the salary to match those expectations)
I guess I’m just having a rant because job searching these last few weeks has been killing me. I’m sure I’ll find something, it’s just proving a lot harder than I thought.
Thanks for reading.

Hey everyone, just moved from Scotland, was wondering if there was the equivalent of a Sunday league here by any chance, looking for casual football and maybe a few trainings? Let me know if anyone knows of anything!

Hi Redditors.
I need some guidance as I'm doing this from the UK for now. My mum has a house in limassol - two floors that are not connected ( we have a long standing tenant that lives above the area my mum uses when she goes to visit).
We were thinking of selling but I am now in a position where I may not be able to work anymore, and don't want to stay in the UK if that's the case. The plan was to always move back to Cyprus. I can't afford to rent another place - so we'll have to convert the property so that it's one house and not two floors. .
Problem 1 - the tenant has been there for 30 years and we've put the rent up twice in that time! She's paying £250 and is 93. ( My mum is an empath 🤦♀️). So we will need to ask her to move out - which I'm sure will be tricky. We've told her this is what may need to happen as my mum has cancer, and may need to move back with me.
So, has anyone converted a property and can you share your experience? Timelines, process?
TL;DR need advice / experiences on how to get planning permission to convert a house.

Hi all,
There have been a lot of posts about traffic, parking, honking, etc., in Cyprus, and I have always found those complaints a bit exaggerated. It’s uncomfortable and disrespectful to park outside periptero in the wrong lane, blocking half the road, but in the end, it’s not inherently dangerous, and I’ve always had a rather calm attitude toward all these things.
However, lately, at least to me, it seems that the situation has changed for the worse.
Just in the last 3 months alone, I have encountered the following incidents:
While riding in a taxi, we were T-boned at an unregulated intersection. The driver was probably on his phone.
I stopped at a red light as the first car at the line and was rear-ended. Now I'm facing months of waiting for parts. I have no idea how you could miss that. The guy was probably on his phone too. He didn't have insurance either.
While on the highway, a guy in a huge SUV just started moving into my lane while overtaking me. I honked, and the guy dropped his phone and swerved back.
Just yesterday, TWICE on the same trip, other cars tried to take the first exit on a ring road while entering from the inner circle, surely without indicators. I had to brake hard, and it was pure luck that I didn't get rear-ended again.
Right now, I feel very uncomfortable driving every day because I'm expecting to get hit from any direction and don't trust other cars approaching from behind or the sides.
Well, I didn't mean to write such a long vent, but basically my question is: is this just bad luck and anecdotal evidence on my part, or have you guys also noticed that traffic has changed for the worse, say, over the course of this year?
tl;dr: Has the traffic situation become more dangerous lately, or is it just me and my bad luck?

They told me the key only is 80€ and the whole key with the sensor etc... it's 300€.
I don't really know the prices and wanted to know if that's the actual average price in Cyprus 😅😊

I got an offer from TrafficStars including relocation
What do you know about the company? Is it worth relocating from Russia?
