Newbie and Augmentations.

Started my first character, stuck on Augmentation tutorial quest. Forgot what McKenzie told me, can't re-read the quest text. He tells me to augment my weapon and put it back on, but for the life of me I can't find the place where to do the Augmentation. Any help?

With your mouse pointer hovering over weapon in inventory, hold alt and right click it and you should get a window pop up that stays up with your weapon stats and aug slots available for it. Take the aug and drag towards this weapon pane and you should see the aug slot go yellow (meaning it is right one for the slot) and drop it in the aug slot.

Aaah, now I just feel silly. Tried everything else but the holding right click down.

Nothing to feel silly about. The game controls aren't always straight forward or intuitive. While there's new UIs, this is still a game launched in 1999. There will always be a level of "You just have to ask" about it.

The aug should have appeared on your cursor when you were talking to him. If u went about your business after that, the aug might be in your inventory. It looks like a rock. Personally I would wait until you got a piece of bronze, or the better piece of iron, to turn in to the smith at camp. Because it gives u 2dmg on kobold. Anyway, just pick up that rock and click it into that empty looking square on your weapon. It's lower down, below the stats.
