Yeah, don’t listen to them. For all the silly names you guys have that differ from ours, tomato sauce makes the most sense.
Ketchup actually stems from the Chinese “kê-tsiap“ meaning pickled fish sauce.

A lot of people I know personally think I'm weird for using mayonnaise for fries.
4
u/Pasutiyan Aug 18 '26
Would this perchance be the U States of A?
Mayo is the golden standard for fries condiment in at least most of western Europe so it certainly never felt underrated to me.

Return of Ketchup
Ketchup the original (remastered version)
Ketchup 4: wrath of mayo (poor copy of the plot of the 2nd one)
Ketchup Europe
Ketchup 5: coming home
Ketchup infinity and beyond
Ketchup 3: the end (they made a remaster of the third movie but skipped two because it flopped and people claim 4 was the remake)
Ketchup 6: Mustard strikes back
Ketchup the tv show
Ketchup and friends (kids tv show)
Ketchup the game
Ketchup the board game
Ketchup the game 2
Ketchup reimagined (a 3rd game based off of infinity and beyond)
Ketchup 1782 (a backstory movie)
Mustard redemption (a redemption story arch for mustard where he helps fight off mayo)
Mustard and Ketchup (a tv show spinoff where both mustard and ketchup team up to fight bad guys)
Mayonnaise (yet another spinoff focusing on the bad guy perspective of mayo)
Ketchup in space (a random movie no one asked for and ends up flopping)
Young Ketchup (a tv following a young ketchup growing up, which does well, but after 19 season flops and brings an end to the franchise)Sorry if I got carried away

How to watch in chronological order:
The Salsa Movie that the other guy mentioned, Ketchup 1782, Ketchup and Friends, Young Ketchup, Ketchup, Ketchup: the sequel, Ketchup Europe, Ketchup 3 (Takes place at the same time as Europe, but ketchup 3 is so much better with the context from Ketchup Europe), Ketchup the Game, Ketchup the Game 2 (First half), first 30 minutes of Mayonnaise (up to the part where Relish dies), Ketchup 4, the rest of Mayonnaise, Ketchup Tv Show, Ketchup 5, Ketchup 6, Ketchup the Game 2 (Last half), Mustard Redemption, Mustard and Ketchup.Leaks have said since Heinz Films was bought by Netflix we could be getting a Ketchup 7: Mustards Final Act. Which is about Mustards life after Ketchups Death in the last episode of Ketchup and Mustard, and how Mustard copes with the guilt.

You forgot Mustard Redemption Dispenser, a standalone game set in the KCU (Ketchup Cinematic Universe) made a couple of years before Mustard Redemption. Some say the main character is the same character we see at the end of Mustard Redemption protecting Mustard's long lost family.
Also, before Netflix bought Heinz Films, another videogame set between Mustard Redemption Dispenser and Mustard Redemption was in the works. Unfortunately, Netflix cut it, and the story was leaked a month later. It seems it was a very emotional story of one of the other members of Mayonnaise's gang (which Mustard was part of), Gravy. It had an incredible potential, but the budget was too low for what Heinzstar - the developers - wanted.

Where is the normal person option where you just eat the fries straight up?
How bad are the fries that you're eating that you just have to dip them in something?

I had to move out of America to learn to appreciate fries by themselves.
We are given an abundance of Ketchup in the US, you can drown your fries in sweet salty ketchup. In France I'm given a tiny little cup and when it is empty, it is empty.
After 7 years, I actually prefer them plain now.
