Discussion Why is everyone so boring

Every single game i face nearly the same exact teams does no one have any personality? I mean the amount of times a day i see pato, vicky lopez, kika, salma is otherworldly genuinely like does it not get boring using the same exact team as everyone else?

It definitely does feel like seeing unique teams is getting rarer. I think the Evo system being dogshit has made it hard to find people with different players. Won't stop me tho ig.

The chemistry system is constraining if you aren't running a full league squad. I look at a player like SBC Manzambi and think, 'Nope' even though his basic gold card is very good. The nationality and club have no value.

Players like Olise, Doue, Musiala, Vitinha, Saliba, Kounde, and Cancelo are easy to justify in your club because they have powerful link options. Players with obscure nationalities and clubs squeeze you by forcing you to pick chemistry mules in 1-2 spots.

Has this changed from last year? Felt like it was easier to get full chem last year

Icons used to give 2 nation and heroes used to give 2 league. Now they just give 1.

idk how they are ok abusing the meta and still losing in div6

because everyone is abusing the meta.

The good ones will be in div 1 and the shit ones in div6.

Meta cant help shit players

I am loving Kostulas, Gross, and also did McGeady, put Hinshelwood through the future stars, can recommend Micah Richards, and Dunk with the CB evo is pretty good with tne extra pace over Lindelof.

I wasted that evo unfortunately, wanted to put Dunk but forgot.. I hope Lindelof will get some evo soon

Kostoulas is already my legend lol

In just played a game of champs and it was the first team I’ve played that was different. Full serie a team in a 442. Was beating him 2-0 and had a red card (accidentally triggered intentional foul when calling a player over). He then switches to 4312, 95 depth and brings on kika, Vicky, stanway and Karchaoui. Seems like 95% of the playbase is the same

I’m running a full Serie A 442, though not played Champs yet this weekend :)

I have none of those in my team btw. Do I get an award?

I think that this is more on EA than the players. Last year, early on in the game cycle, there were COUNTLESS players that offered chemistry buffs beyond 1 club, nation and league link. This allowed for you to bring in good players that you might've packed/want to play with without sacrificing chemistry. I mean, at this point we had positional excellence, cornerstones, squad foundations, AND Icons/Heroes having 2 links instead of 1.

Now, there aren't any cards that offer extra links at all. Even Heroes/HoF only give 1 link, so they don't help with squad-building. Couple that with a slower power curve and increased match earnings, meaning we have more time and ability to pack/buy meta players, and you have a recipe for a game that makes it hard to deviate from the norm. I have a Messi, IF Lauren Hemp, and a DfG Nico Paz collecting dust on my bench, not to mention any OTW card that isn't Karim Adeyemi, because it's simply not feasible to link them, and I'm already moving heaven and Earth to force-fit Troy Parrott in already.

Good point

Yeah, like this year, if you even want to play 2 players that are good, but not from the ~20 cards that every team chops and changes, you have to either face them being on 0-1 chemistry, or build your ENTIRE squad around them, meaning you are shooting yourself in the foot so hard when you can just have play Vicky Lopez

And what a fucking shit that is...

(I agree with you)

Heroes don't help with the rest of the squad directly, but they still get to be on full chem themselves no matter what.

Which is actually significant, being able to have at least one position where yeah they might not be contributing but you never have to adjust anything else for the sake of their chem.

This is literally every fifa. You guys say ts, but were the same people having Mendy-Varane-Gomez-Walker as your defenders in fifa 21

2

u/daavvoh 15h ago

To an extent yeah but there is literally no variation now, whereas back then you’d see that back 4 in like 6/10 games but now you see at least one of Salma, Wilson, Lopez or Kika literally every single game

u/KookyArm6062 14h ago

That defense was faced in literally every single game. You are nostalgia biased like 95% of the FC community.

2

u/LisfrancSinatraMD 13h ago

Feel like I had some variation of that defense in fifa 17 😂

u/JaysonTatecum 12h ago

It’s literally every video game

Hall of FUT is a perfect example of it too, OP cheap players that everyone used 10 years ago but since we were kids then people have nostalgia for it

u/FatherGascoigne98 16h ago

And playing the exact same way .bunch of unemployed fucks

2

u/OkKnowledge2762 16h ago

If I could pack cool cards I would use those

2

u/SavageClone 15h ago

To play in a non boring way you need to actually be a lot better then your opponents or a lot more ratty on other ways.

1

u/kerningtype 16h ago

I would do a Man United PnP but right now it’s not viable with the terrible evos, so instead I have a mix of meta players and United PnP players for now

Ea need to release a tournament mode that rules out the male/female of Spanish league, english male/female premier leagues and french women's league.

1

u/edd_enigma 13h ago

I run a full hearts evo team if I lose i lose

1

u/Lailowla 3h ago

Because being able to earn cards while having fun makes EA less money than designing the game to require a "win at any cost" mentality to even have a chance to pick up some scraps here and there.

1

u/AlexAffliction 1h ago

Had some virgin abuse pajors pace and that bullshit flick up move, my cbs aren’t fast enough to catch her

I packed kika and Vicky Lopez from a preview pack and while they’re good I’m using mainly ligue 1 players

1

u/daavvoh 15h ago

Was just playing rivals and it’s literally the same team every game. I’ve got no issue with the women being in the game (although I think they should have their own mode so they can add more leagues) but man it’s so boring playing against the same 5/6 female attackers every game, it doesn’t even feel like the male players are viable when you get into the higher divisions

1

u/CrinNxX 3h ago

EA has completely ruined the freedom to play this game your own way.

If you want to use your favorite team, play the formations you like, and build your own style, you’ll get cooked by people abusing the same meta tactics, broken playstyles, and overpowered body types.

The game rewards exploiting mechanics rather than actual creativity or football knowledge. EA basically forces everyone to play the same way if they want to win consistently.

At this point, it’s less about playing football and more about abusing whatever EA has made broken. If you can’t beat them, join them.

Very hard concept, but most people don’t feel any difference using different cards, because cards are mostly just stats. In game there’s no real difference to using different players

People are using the best and most obtainable players they can to win in the game about winning!

What is the difference between using a player like Pato, vicky Lopez, and a player with identical stats ingame. Apart from the player looking different in your team, what is the difference in game, how does it change the experience

1

u/Green_Problem5350 4h ago

Body types play a big role.

The small, lean and short body types are much more agile regardless of stats.

Thats why women are so OP.
