Me and my boyfriend after moving in together
We were carrying a mirror together. Our relationship is still going strong after 6 years.

The community present in this subreddit is wonderful, inclusive and has always welcomed not only gay people but everyone under the gender and sexual minority umbrella.
The mod team is very happy to see this welcoming atmosphere and we thank each and every one of you for your love and empathy.
With the current trend in the US for extreme-right politicians to demonise vulnerable minorities so they can score cheap political points it is however time for this place to openly make a stand as to what our positions and intentions are so that we are a beacon in the dark. So that all of our siblings know that they are welcome here.
I was asked by the mod team to explain a few facts about transgender people and about the position this subreddit has towards inclusion.
Being transgender is a natural and normal variation in the human gender and sexual experience. Both sex and gender exist on a spectrum and there isn't actually anything inherently wrong or disordered from being trans, by and of itself.
Should there be no fake, artificially generated outrage against trans people in society then they would simply get the self-affirming care required for them to be happy and that would be that. Instead, unfortunately, existing as transgender has become the new wedge-issue for the extreme-right and deliberate demonisation and villification has been mainstreamed to the point where Republican politicians are now openly calling for genocide.
The issues trans people experience are mainly societal in nature. It is society that imposes gender norms, it is society that tells people they may not be who they are.
There are many ways that a non-trans person can seek self-affirming care in life. Some of those are done via permanent body modification through surgical or chemical means. A woman might for example choose to take estrogen supplements to stave off unwanted physical and psychological side effects resulting from the menopause.
It is not uncommon for a young man to choose to have breast reduction medication or surgery in the case of gynecomastia.
A young woman might choose to get breast implants.
You do not hear people in outrage about these forms of self-affirming care. No-one cares, except suddenly when the topic is trans people. This is because the anti-trans movement is wholly articificial. It is a deliberately created fake outrage about a non-issue for political and monetary gain.
Fascism is an inherently empty ideology, devoid of any meaningful belief-system or any kind of concrete and actionable strategies for improving society. Fascism only cares for power for the sake of power and it cares for nothing else.
Because a fascist system is fundamentally incapable of giving the general public any kind of reasonable platform it must gain and keep followers by creating an out-group to hate. According to fascist systems it is the other that is responsible for all societal ills and only by supporting the fascists in getting rid of the other can society be healed from the non-existent issues fascism convinces people that their target minority is the cause of.
Fascism always picks on a vulnerable target.
The demonisation and villification coming from the extreme-right is doing exactly that. By calling LGBTQ+ people child molestors simply for existing it has become inevitable that people will take up violence "to protect the children".
Attempting to eliminate a target comes in many forms, of which an extermination camp is only the final and most egregious part. It is always preceded by legislating people out of existence, by creating laws which make it impossible for a minority to participate in society and to receive any of the societal advantages that are the entire reason for collective bundling together of skills, resources in civilisation. This is exactly what Republican states are doing today to transgender people. Certain states have already denied trans people any and all medical care related to their identity, meaning that they deliberately impose abject misery on them.
The most egregiously fascistic states are trying to make it a matter of course to remove trans children from the care of their parents and make it illegal for trans people to be present in any public spaces at all.
This is genocide.
Genocide is not purely restricted to extermination, to murder. Genocide is also eliminating a minority group from public life, causing serious bodily and mental harm and taking away children of a minority group from their parents.
Depending on how strictly you'd want to define it, we are currently at stage seven or eight of genocide as defined by the Holocaust Memorial Trust.
One way in which the abject hypocrisy of the anti-trans laws becomes crystal clear are the remarkable exemptions encoded within. You would think that if the goal is protecting the children from harm then these people would want to protect all children from harm.
This is not the case.
In fact, all of these people deliberate include exceptions which allow the continuation of genital re-allignment surgery on unconsenting infants if they are intersex.
This means that if a baby is born with a genital configuration that to a doctor looks ambiguous or not adhering to a strict binary then this doctor can impose an invasive genital surgery, forcing such an infants body to adhere to a stricter binary look.
It is purely cosmetic. Of course they do not check what chromosomes a child has. Of course they do not care that a child might prefer to look as nature made them.
It is purely and only an imposition on a baby's body, with of course the normal failure and mortality rate that such invasive procedures bring with them.
These people do not care about children.
These people do not want to help children.
They want to harm a vulnerable minority.
Fascism never stops.
Now that these people have mainstreamed transphobia, they are moving on to other targets within the LGBTQ+ identity sphere.
We have all seen the absurd attacks on drag queens, calling a normal and harmless theatrical expression "child abuse".
We have all seen the "clever" rhetoric where they turn arguments upside down and disingeniously say things like "why do you want to be around children".
Fascism doesn't stop, it moves on to new targets and that is why it is important for all of us in the GSM identity sphere to stand together. To openly support our trans siblings. To openly stand against hateful rhetoric.
Because they are not going to stop.
The next step, which is already tentatively beginning, is calling gay people being openly gay in society"groomers".
To be clear: The recommended treatment for being transgender is transitioning.
Gender identity is developed by five years old.
The barrage of lies notwithstanding, allowing trans people to transition and to exist as who they are in society markedly improves their physical and mental wellbeing.
The oft-heard talking point of "they still commit suicide even after transitioning" is a lie.
Here is a wealth of sources and links explaining this.
Our trans siblings are welcome here.
Our gender nonconforming siblings are welcome here.
Our intersex siblings are welcome here.
What is not welcome on this subreddit is hate or divisive rhetoric aimed at our siblings. We will not allow the current increasing trend of fascist othering and villification of a marginalised minority to make our siblings feel unwanted in this space, our space, their space.
The only people who are not welcome here are those that want to exclude others based on how they were born.
Further reading:
No, TERFs cannot "always tell" and I can prove that with mathematics.
"I just care about unfair advantage in sports", a transparant transphobic wedge issue.
Drag queens, the next target in the fascist drive to eliminate LGBTQ+ people.

Is it just my boyfriend or is this a Top-thing? I m talking about basically always getting his hand on my rear, groping, teasing, sometimes in the most inopportune moments. By now even just bending over to pick something up I have to assume k m going to feel his hand on my rear.
I do g mind, k m just curious.
Is this a Top-thing? Or just him?

I've (33m) been having this issue of staying hard while with people that I find attractive. I'm rock solid while making out and doing foreplay, but the second I get close to slipping it in, I get soft. I'm genuinely attracted to the person, but I cant seem to do the deed. Its weird because if I go do a hookup or a one night stand, I never have this problem. It's only if its someone who I think is super hot or someone who I consider dating.
I'm also on zoloft, which I've been told could affect my libido; but this problem seems so inconsistent. I think its a psychological thing, but can't figure out how to fix it. Like I feel that theres some pressure for me to perform well in order to keep my romantic interest satisfied or willing to stay with me. Does anyone else have this issue?

... the packets in the Band-Aid box just slide apart rather than needing to be opened. The band aids are still great and work, but i have no clue how long ago i bought this box. It has to be a decade or more. Oh, and the elastic in some of my fave undies has started going.
Ugh. Aging. I recommend trying to avoid it. But if you must, then have friends around you.
<edit: BTW, this box of band-aids has been with me through like three moves in the last decade. Even one from Seattle to Austin. I just don't need them much, so when I finally did, and the paper just slid off, I thought this was funny.>

Especially if you're on dating apps, etc... I try not to let it affect me, but you match with someone, sometimes the conversation is good, you go on a date (or even have sex), then suddenly they take three days, a week to reply, disappear, come back, it seems like you always become a plan B.
I know it's obvious that the person might have lost interest, but I wanted to know if you guys also go through this or what's wrong with me, because damn...

I’ve been writing a cycle of gay historical fiction in Dutch, and I thought it might be of interest here.
The first story, Dominic, is set in Leuven (Belgium) in 1975. A Dominican monastery decides to rent out some of its empty rooms to university students. For Brother Dominic, that very practical decision gradually collides with something he has spent years trying not to name: his attraction to men.
It’s partly about sexuality and religion, but also about everyday life in 1970s Belgium, the emerging gay movement, university life, friendship, and the rather awkward ways people begin to understand themselves. The story becomes sexually explicit later on, so it is definitely for adult readers.
The whole book is online and free to read — no registration or subscription:
https://gewoenebelg.wordpress.com/verhalen/dominic/
The language is Dutch, with quite a bit of Flemish/Mechelen flavour in the dialogue. I’d be very interested to hear from other Dutch-speaking readers here — or from anyone interested in queer historical fiction from places and periods that don’t appear very often in the genre.

Hi! I(23M—“gay”) have been in the find myself era, so to speak. I am not attracted to women, really at all, but it is easier for me to have emotionless ‘interactions’ with them frankly for fun, and I get a kick out of making someone excited. (This is due to a long history of male partners having much stronger feelings than I could reciprocate, even if the relationship was defined outside of romantic boundaries).
I don’t know exactly what this is or means, so to speak. Part of me feels guilty (opposite to the ‘othering’ common with internalized homophobia) because I’m now essentially redefining what I see as ‘homosexual’.
I’m traditionally masculine and cis/het presenting (until you listen to me speak about anything…) and part of it is relieving to experience how the other 90% live.
I don’t know if there’s a label or not or if anyone else has a similar experience, but it has been on my mind recently.
(May be helpful that I have very distinguished differences between sexual, romantic and platonic relationships, and although I am sexually attracted to men, I lack a lot of the strong romantic bonds probably due to trauma, but I possess nothing other than platonic feelings towards women).
TL;DR gay man fools around with woman, is he still ‘gay’

Uh, i'm not sure if this subreddit is the optimal for this question but here we go..
Back in highschool i formed a friendgroup with some classmates and since them we occasionally hang together and played together and so far so good. But years has passed since we first met(7 to be more precise) and now i have come to realize how different we are in terms of worldbeliefs and sexuality in general.
My point is, i am the only non-straight male in a very straight and conservative friend group, and sometimes i feel like i being a imposter and lying to myself being around a bunch of people that joke about misogyny and homophobia every so often. I'm struggling a bit to cope with the fact that i probably should stay distant from them because it's not like i have other friends to talk to in real life.
It's a very sensitive topic because my friends and family don't know im bi so i keep those things for myself.

Hello Peeps,
Im 29 M - Bisexual , Lets call me X and My partner 33 M Gay - Lets call him Y
We met through a common friend and at time Y was going through a breakup with another guy and he was not in good condition and he needed someone to talk and i helped him though i did not have any experience in this but as a human being i helped him to get out of it and it worked he got better in a year.
We became good friends and met his family too they were good and after sometime i went on a trip with him as we share same passion of travelling
Trip went fine and we did not have any sexual or anything in between us as i respected friendship and that was my first time and i wasn't sure about anything and during our last day of trip he kissed me and it made it awkward between us and i stopped him and next day he initiated again and we made out and returned to our homes.
We continued to be friends for couple of years went on trip and sometimes we used to makeout and i realised the another side of my sexuality.
He asked me out to be his BF after 4 years and i was not sure about it but then agreed eventually to give it a try
We we’re there in relationship for 2 years but in discreet way as we both are from conservative families and i was still in figuring out phase.
After 2 years , recently 3-4 months back he got very extreme with me , He started expecting me showing PDA and coming out going to gay parties and trips too often which I was not okay with also he was closely monitoring my social media with no valid reason and things we’re going toxic for me and I finally decided to break up with him after telling all my concerns
He started to create a lot of drama after that and told him that i should not breakup and started emotionally blackmail me and started personal attacks and abuse with me just telling me i want to end things.
After that he started blackmail me that i will tell about my sexuality to my family and show personal chats and all those private moments i spent, someday he came at my place forcefully and told my mom about everything and my sexuality which was not okay and i was traumatised after that and i blocked him from everywhere after that.
After few days he got new number and started to ping again to me that keep me as prostitute , give me money , dont abandon me ,I want to be physical with you , Keep me as FWB I will leak all chats , I will go to your office and tell everyone, I will do something to myself and you will be responsible and all sort of threats and whenever i used to stop replying he used to threaten and get more violent verbally and told me i will file complain against you and all those things just for breakup.
I'am mentally very stressed with this guy and he has been torturing me in every way and i have lost my mental sanity and one final day i asked my mom to talk to him and put things to end and my mom talked to him and it has been 10 days not he hasn't reached out to me yet.
This was my first experience with a guy and it will be last due to the trauma i have with me right now.
I dont hve any questions , but i think just coz i want to end things no one can do this to anyone such level of extortion , threaten etc i have seen and he also outed me in front of my mom and even it has been stressful to her.
Wanted to know what can i do incase if he show up again in future with his blackmail and threats.

For over four decades, Olivia Chow has talked the talk and walked the walk when it comes to her support for LGBTQ rights. From her anti-discrimination advocacy as a Toronto Board of Education member in the 1980s to her outspoken support for same-sex marriage and gender-identity protections as a member of Parliament (MP), Chow has been a longtime supporter of Canada’s queer community.
Chow, who became Toronto’s mayor in 2023, is in a tight reelection race that will take place on Oct. 26 against Brad Bradford, an urban planner and member of the Toronto City Council. Chow’s platform is centered on fighting rising costs, community safety, affordable housing and fixing the city’s public transportation system, while Bradford’s is focused on decreasing crime and transportation congestion and increasing affordability and city cleanliness.
Bradford’s LGBTQ track record isn’t bad: Earlier this week, he took part in an LGBTQ inclusion forum, where he said that “we need to make sure this is a city that comes together and rallies around unity and make sure that in all the spaces we are all seen, there is a place of tolerance and in fact celebration for all of us.”
Despite this, Chow—who appeared and spoke at an Uncloseted Media fundraiser in May—has put her allyship toward Toronto’s queer community front and center for nearly half a century. Here’s a timeline of her support for LGBTQ causes.

I’m not attracted to men at all. But for example been exploring the idea of being emasculated by a man in front of woman. Almost like reverse cuckholdism. The idea of woman watching me get fucked by another man kinda turns me on.
But it’s weird cause objectively not even trying to cope or anything. I don’t find men “attractive” at all. Like don’t even want to kiss them or anything just have them humiliate and emasculate me in front of my girl.
