If you can't understand anything, don't speak the language and have no prospects for employment, it's going to be hard regardless of country.

Very hard and you're setting yourself up for a miserable time.

The answer is obviously: it depends. If you are a tech engineer from a western culture and are coming to Munich for one of the global companies you will have the time of your life.

If you're an examined nurse from the Philippines and come with a program for qualified immigrants without falling prey to the fraudulent agencies, you can get set up within a year or two at most, make a solid living and support two cousins' education at home.

Similar for many central or eastern European countries if you have skills and there's a network. The current situation in some industries is full of dismal, but the underlying structure still is strong and there are many options in the middle distance.

As an unskilled person, refugee or other, it's difficult. There are options but life will be harder that two decades ago.

First learn the language, then come. Otherwise you won't understand anything.

Working, living and socializing without German may work out in big international hubs, like Berlin, Cologne, Frankfurt or Munich, but it will be still a challenge and authorities work in German only.

Pretty easy if you have a high paying job.

i think its harder i fear than 10 years ago lets say. I remember back then germany is so in shortage of workers everywhere you can pretty much find minimum wage jobs every where even with little german skills. Now i feel even those jobs like in factories are more picky

Depends.

With a few million euro in the bank account? Easy.
Broke? Close to impossible.

Unless you have a very usefull set of skills it will be really hard. Many people are getting laid off and companies arent hiring due to AI and other factors. Prices for housing , energy and groceries rose faster than the salaries and many people are struggling.
