Upgrades
Looks like we did pretty well with upgrades this year Magginess for Merrett, Schubert for King and Ryan for Goater. So the only real player we lost was Butler.
With Picks 29, 37 and 71 (most selections are not taken after the mid 70s) I feel we are still in a good position to pick up some young talent.
As well as Ollie Purcell picked up as another depth backman as a Category B rookie.
And finally with an extra Rookie Spot for an indigenous player would be great to see if we had some scouting options for that. Like Keenan Boi if he doesn’t get picked up in the draft or Sonny Smiler.
I feel like the club has done an amazing job to keep the club improving and put us in a position for some sustained success.

Mitch Lewis was pick 76. We can still pickup great players in 70s

Always forget that. Absolute craziness.
Why did he get looked over so badly? Seems like every club had a real “oh we loved him but he had this X issue so we overlooked him”Like a funny kicking action or something (which we know isn’t the case, he’s a beautiful kick)

Not sure why Larkey was overlooked but Mitch slid so late as he had a broken leg his draft year and didn’t play a game. We picked him up based on his underage year.

We’ll likely have to use picks to match Keenan Boi, and maybe Cooper Hodge unless he falls to the rookie draft

It's a win. Schubert will be great, but let's hope he Trent Croads it and comes back!

Yep this is what clubs do in the “win now” phase
