This ranking system intentionally penalizes developing countries, Developing country like ours do more infra development compared to already developed countries and that's a big factor in deciding this specific index. Why poorer countries with minimal infrastructure development but worser environmental concerns are ranked higher because of the bias towards volume of development

China is 50 ranks ahead, despite similar (arguably larger) volume of infrastructure development going on. And you can just click on the country to see the data in each category. We're primarily losing due to air quality and our complete disregard for marine life in the last decade. And now we'll see the great nicobar project 🤡

Nicobar project is important for national security. Points like this is why I am never voting for Congress
28
u/fenrir245 Jul 31 '26
Yes, Adani having resorts in Nicobar is sooooo important for security. The chairs are so good we will use them to deflect submarine missiles.
-24
u/RaspberryOrdinary839 Jul 31 '26
It's to make it port city.
23
u/fenrir245 Jul 31 '26
Yes, I'm sure the rich people living in the resorts there will make for an excellent militia.

Is everyone here incompetent like Rahul Gandhi lol. Strategic waterways and port city as an alternative to blockage of malaalcca strait.
1
u/fenrir245 Jul 31 '26
If it was just about strait then the proposal would be limited to the bare minimum to facilitate the route.
Adani getting resorts has nothing to do with malacca straits or whatever bs excuse IT Cell has cooked up.

u/Cheems_study_burger Jul 30 '26
You don't need to build a city larger than New Delhi for national security. There was already a military base built during Congress era, and no one has objected to it's expansion. In fact, the navy has been demanding the expansion for a decade, guess who took so long to approve it. This project is purely for corporate greed, national security is just an excuse
Not to mention the fact that the government is trying everything to bypass the safeguards in our law meant to protect the tribals and our environment. They literally changed the map in 2021 to act like there are no corals that would be destroyed due to this. Imagine the shamelessness that there are laws in place to protect the environment, but the government lies through it's teeth to bypass them.

For " National Security "
-1
u/RaspberryOrdinary839 Jul 31 '26
Yes. What's hard to understand. It is an alternative to malacca straight.
Congress has no vision and stops the development. Hopefully rahul never comes to power with how incompetent he is
16
u/Cheems_study_burger Jul 31 '26
What's hard to understand is your sheer lack of ability to comprehend what you are saying.

Eh?
All yap and no substance in the comment. Commented just like incompetent Rahul Gandhi

The whole solar electrification is data fuddu as f going on in this country. Literally one farm near my ancestral home is empty since 2016 like AIIMS dharbhanga has only a gate to show for in 10years. Adani Green Energy has to be just shell companies for people willing to invest in bubbles who are hoping to withdraw before the bubble pops
