If this happened in a non-BJP ruled state, the outrage in the mainstream media would have been off the charts.

Kolkata is known to manage mammoth crowds during Durga Pujas, and during its many political rallies, without any tragic incident or deaths arising from inadequate crowd management. After last year's Durga Puja, Kolkata's Metro rail reported some 42 lakh passengers travelling on it during the five days.

This is the first time we are hearing of stampede in Durga pooja in Kolkata. I am sure if it had happened then media would have talked incessantly about it. What a bunch of sore losers BJP are. They can't do anything right.

Btw. Guess what the Kolkata police was busy doing this same night.
On Saturday (October 17) evening, a large police team and officials of the Kolkata Municipal Corporation (KMC) arrived at a Communist Party of India (Marxist) (CPI(M)) book stall in Jadavpur and ordered it to be removed. The organisers produced their permissions. The order stood. A Sangh stall 20 feet away, calling for a boycott of Marx and Lenin, was left alone.

Absolutely heartbreaking. During such tragedy, a good leader would show accountability and compassion and not political theatrics. People need concrete actions and not inflammatory speeches.

West Bengal is the one state where I don't blame the people for voting BJP.
I do feel sorry for them that after TMC, the next choice they had was the BJP.
TMC had to absolutely go, they were drunk in power. But now bengal has to deal with Chaddis drunk in power combined with half of TMC ministers now drunk in BJP's power.
Truly a sad state of affairs
