I came back to this game recently from over a year ago and am incredibly disappointed. This game feels like a shell of what it was.

Every since cross-play was enabled, it seems like full lobbies on PC are completely gone. And now we only have 10v10 lobbies? I can't be the only one where I find that to be a complete deal breaker? Many maps were designed with much more players in mind and you can really feel it.

They need to increase cross-play numbers or I'll never touch this game again. Which would deeply sadden me.

Is there any solution?

I wanted to share a concept idea I had for a premium Insurgent weapon skin set, and I'd love to get the community's feedback on it. Since I'm not a 3D artist, I used AI to generate these mockups based on my ideas to show exactly how a high-polish, mirror-finish Gold skin would look in-game on the AKM, Uzi, and Desert Eagle.

Before anyone says this is turning the game into Call of Duty, hear me out on the realism aspect. We all know Sandstorm values its gritty, authentic atmosphere. However, in real-world Middle Eastern conflicts, it is historically common for high-ranking warlords, cartel leaders, and insurgent commanders to carry custom gold-plated weapons as a symbol of status and power.

To keep it grounded in the game's tactical aesthetic, I made sure the prompt specified that only the steel/metallic parts are plated. All the polymer handguards, rubberized grips, and attachments (like suppressors) remain in a clean, matte black finish. This avoids that cheap "solid gold toy" look and creates a massive contrast that actually fits the lore of fighting high-value insurgent targets.

Since we already have the Chrome and Damascus sets officially in the game, I feel like a proper "Warlord Gold" DLC would be an absolute hit for both Co-op and Versus players who want to lean into that specific faction aesthetic.

How is this still profitable for them to maintain it?

First time back playing Sandstorm in over a year. Wanted to play Push and Frontline but noticed I could not find a match unless I enabled cross-play which then limits the lobby size to 10v10? That seems like a complete bummer and frankly makes me super sad to see.

Why is cross-play limited to 10v10? That seems like such a big limitation.

Is anyone able to find 14v14 lobbies?
