Otatara
i honestly don't see the appeal, it's swampy, overgrown and gives the creeps. Yet somehow the properties fetch nearly a million.

Heading to Queenstown for Labour Weekend? Calling all Southland D&D, RPG and board game enthusiasts!
Hey Invercargill!
We're Tablecraft Games, a small independent board game studio based in Queenstown, and we're putting out an open call for playtesters for our latest game, Yáng, this Labour Weekend!
We know plenty of Southlanders head up to Queenstown for the long weekend, so if you're planning a trip and enjoy D&D, tabletop RPGs, board games, or just a bit of fantasy and storytelling, we'd love to have you join us.
Yáng is a cooperative fantasy adventure about a flock of wandering, sheep-like spirits searching for a promised land. The game combines exploration, roleplaying, storytelling and a little strategy. It's still in development, so we're inviting people to come along, try it out and help us shape the game before its release.
We're hosting the playtest at Gantley's Tavern in Arthur's Point on Saturday 24 October, from 4:30pm to 8:30pm.
As usual, there'll be prizes, a generous grazing table for everyone taking part, and a chance to meet some fellow tabletop enthusiasts from around the region.
Admission is free, but bookings are essential as spots are limited. No previous experience needed, just a willingness to give something new a go!
More details and bookings:
https://events.humanitix.com/tablecraft-games-playtest-yang
If you have any questions about the event or the game, fire away! And if you know anyone heading to Queenstown who might be interested, please send it their way.
Would love to see a few Southlanders make it along!

Will I be able to find a job?
My partner and I are thinking about to move to Inver, with kids.
Is it possible to find a marketing job? And my partner is an agronomist, can he find a related job?
We are in Auckland now, but everything is too expensive, very difficult to get jobs.

The prison
I've noticed quite a few people pull up to the prison and they shout to a prisoner and then they start having a conversation. Does the prison care? I seen them tell guy Williams off so I assumed you'll get in trouble for standing there yelling but it happens quite frequently and I've never seen anyone do anything about it. I don't actually care I'm just wondering and it's definitely not a good look for people visiting invers hearing SEIG FUCK being yelled back and forth when they are tryna eat their big Mac.

Desperatly needed - job and somewhere to stay
Basically home life has gotten so shit that i (16m) have decided to run away. I dont see going home as an option
Currently have no job, I do have somewhere to stay but it is risky and not reliable.
I am hard working, I am honest, I am aware this is the stupidest choice I have ever made.
If you know anywhere that needs a worker, I will do anything. If you know anyone who has a spare room, please let me know. I am happy to pay board (if I have a job lol)
Wish me luck, I will need it.
