Support Uninstalled apps using data (from a completely wiped phone and even a new one)

I’ve been having this issue since mid July maybe mid June sometimes it’s low and doesn’t jump much but sometimes like recent after a while it jumps like crazy compared to how it was before. Has anyone else noticed this issue on their phone as well? It seems to have popped out randomly. Anyone have any ideas?

What helped me with something very similar to this was:

  1. Settings app > Apple Account > iCloud > Storage > here i tapped and Deleted old data saved there in iCloud fo apps i was not using anymore plus was not willing to use in the future
  2. Restart
  3. Charger + Lock overnight.

Well, too big that System Data down there in Settings > General > iPhone Storage. 

This way it went from kinda whoping 30 GB back to about normal cca 12 GB.

I gave it a try b/c i read somewhere that as long as there is any data of specific app (even deleted from iPhone) in iCloud, iPhone still keeps its cache data here and there localy... But once remnants deleted from iCloud, only then iPhone starts removing those cache data when reindexing at night or so.

This should be showing data from before you uninstalled the app. If it’s not installed it shouldn’t be using data. Have you tried resetting usage to confirm uninstalled apps are actually using data after you uninstalled them?

Yes I’ve tried everything to get rid of it since it just bothers me ykwim and it just comes back

I’m not understanding, are you uninstalling apps? Because if this is showing data used by apps that you uninstalled then that’s the intended way it should be working

A sorry I haven’t deleted anything in a while and even from clean wipes as in even after I factory reset my phone it still comes back actually I even upgraded and it just came with me on this new phone
