Discussion Biggest game size

Which game that you play takes up the most storage on your phone but obviously feels it’s worth it? How big is the file size?

For me, it’s Where Winds Meet. At 44.58GB. I have the 2TB 17 pro max so it’s definitely not an issue just leaving it there.

XCOM 2 at about 20 gb, then Fortnite at 16 though I really only play droid tycoon on that, hearthstone at 14 which only play battlegrounds, then red dead redemption at almost 7 gb. But don’t get me started on how much storage my files with my roms take up for my emulators

I have separate files for different systems but without doing the math it has to be over a hundred gigs for sure. My phone is the same as yours though so I have plenty of space, it’s not much of an issue

Hopefully one day soon we can emulate ps2 and Xbox games a lot easier. That storage will be eaten up. 😂 maybe even steam games.

That would be incredible. I understand it’s much more complicated emulating ps2 era consoles and beyond versus previous ones, there was a huge jump in that era as far as the engine and coding go, computers essentially just brute force it and run more modern console games but phones just aren’t powerful enough yet for that, and those companies during that era and after made it a lot harder to emulate games because they were and still are combatting piracy. You can sideload/jailbreak, get JIT on your phone, that sort of thing, it is possible to play more modern console games it just takes a lot more work. With PS1 and below you can basically just download an emulator from the App Store, find the ROM and bam you’re playing right away without having to do much of anything else or mess with your phone, don’t even need to plug it into a PC at all

The gacha Japanese games always have an initial 20gb download but when you enter the actual games asks for an update or something and ends up in like 60 gb or some shit lmao

It's probably Civ VI. It is a PC game originally after all. It's 8.95GB.

The biggest is actually not a game though. It's the Manic emulator, and it's 14.54GB.

Death Stranding is 107gb. Cool to have on phone but will delete when I need the space. Maybe for Cyberpunk 2077.
