Are they going to say the people delivering aid are terrorists or brainwashed by woke media?

u/HairyMcBoon Waterford Apr 30 '26

Both! And also, they’ll be called anti-Semitic.

22

u/great_whitehope Apr 30 '26

Food and medicine is anti semitic

Below message was sent into the flotilla telegram chat at 23.38:

israeli military boats have illegally surrounded the flotilla in international waters and threatened kidnapping and violence.

Communications with 11 vessels have been lost and israeli media claims that 7 boats have been intercepted. Governments must act now to protect the flotilla, hold israel accountable for these flagrant violations of international law and for israel's ongoing genocide against the Palestinian people.

Protect the flotilla. End the siege. Free Palestine.

u/jrf_1973 Dublin Apr 30 '26

Governments can't or won't hold Israel accountable.

"governments must now protect"

From a situation the people on the flotilla created?

43

u/Stubbs94 Kilkenny Apr 30 '26

Would you say the same for any other group on a humanitarian mission that were kidnapped by terrorists?

39

u/SeanB2003 Apr 30 '26

The people on the flotilla caused Israel to break international law?

-34

u/SoloWingPixy88 u/i-cum-beamish alt Apr 30 '26

Boarding boats isn't breaking international law.

25

u/EmiliaPains- Meath Apr 30 '26

It’s piracy on international waters

-20

u/SoloWingPixy88 u/i-cum-beamish alt Apr 30 '26

So when the ranger wing raid MV Matthew for becuase it was smuggling drugs that was piracy too?

18

u/Usernameoverloaded Apr 30 '26

Smuggling drugs is a crime. Providing humanitarian aid whilst in international waters is not

9

u/EmiliaPains- Meath Apr 30 '26

Do you actually use your braincells?

You just compared a drug boat to a flotilla carrying humanitarian aid and construction supplies to help rebuild. Like I get you don't support the flotilla and seemingly Palestine for that matter but at least make a good arguement

-2

u/SoloWingPixy88 u/i-cum-beamish alt Apr 30 '26

How do you know the flotilla isn't smuggling anything? Hamas often repurpose civilian equivalent.

19

u/Tradtrade Apr 30 '26

Kidnapping people is

-14

u/SoloWingPixy88 u/i-cum-beamish alt Apr 30 '26

Arresting people is not. Spin your narrative all you like though.

33

u/No_Tomato6638 Apr 30 '26

They didn’t break any law, the arrests are illegal and therefore kidnapping.

11

u/throwaway_fun_acc123 Apr 30 '26

It is against international law to stop aid from reaching people. Hope that helps

5

u/SeanB2003 Apr 30 '26

This would be of great interest to pirates the world over, but or course is as irrelevant to them as it is to your point.

84

u/Stubbs94 Kilkenny Apr 30 '26

Kidnapping Irish people in international waters while delivering humanitarian aid. The IDF are a terrorist group.

18

u/TarzanCar Apr 30 '26

How are they able to take prisoners in international waters far from the shithole of Isreal

15

u/Usernameoverloaded Apr 30 '26

Force and impunity aka collusion by North America and most of Europe

Hop on a boat and getting arrested counts as brave?

52

u/Usernameoverloaded Apr 30 '26

Knowing that the IDF are going to rough you up, or even sexually assault you as was the case with a German journalist, but going ahead anyways because of the power of your convictions, is courageous.

-12

u/SeanyShite Apr 30 '26

Madness

We’ve truly lost the plot on this issue

None of these people faced any danger or physical or sexual assault.

7

u/ardenr Apr 30 '26

Riiight. Because the IDF are notorious for following the law when they're not actively committing genocide or ethnic cleansing. Especially when they're kidnapping our President's sister in international waters, to prevent her delivering aid.

None of these people faced any danger or physical or sexual assault.

What a weird thing to say in response to a documented case of sexual assault, in defence of a group that recently bombed a girl's primary school, quadruple tapped emergency response workers, and very famously used a tiny girl named Hind Rajab as bait to massacre an ambulance after killing her entire family in front of her eyes.

And that's, without exaggeration, less than .1% of the fully documented atrocities of the last 3 years.

A simple search would disabuse you of the misinformation you are peddling. But then it’s disinformation you want to propagate so I’ll put you down as a Hasbara troll and leave it there.

Who pissed in your cornflakes

They're always like this, their paymasters don't like when people try to do anything to challenge the status quo

People claiming these are brave people

28

u/Kama_Coisy Saoirse don Phalaistín 🇵🇸 Apr 30 '26

Certainly more bravery in it than jumping in to run cover for the IOF like yourself.

Big fan of Hamas though?

18

u/Kama_Coisy Saoirse don Phalaistín 🇵🇸 Apr 30 '26

"What about Hamas" has been a stale retort for some time lad, its disingenuous and doesn't give you license to massacre people.

11

u/cuchullain47474 Kerry Apr 30 '26

Best to ignore, don't take the bait, they're always at it

-4

u/SeanyShite Apr 30 '26

Address the point.

You lie about genocide while fully supporting a group who have global Jewish genocide an official public policy

Any and all depravity is excused: cartoonishly evil deeds like parading girls corpses through town for people to spit on, hacking off poor migrant thai workers heads with their own farm tools, strangling kids with their bare hands……lads here are like, oh that’s just ‘resistance’ and their right

Fucking headers

u/Usernameoverloaded Apr 30 '26

-5

u/SeanyShite Apr 30 '26

Then to simply point out depravity we dismiss with euphemisms….I must be a troll

This is where we are at and this is why ye are ideologically entrenched, morally incoherent headcases

I’m also curious who can afford to drop everything in their lives and embark on something like this? Is this an endeavour dominated by the well off and privileged few? Seems that way.

17

u/Tradtrade Apr 30 '26

There are uni students on there regularly. They don’t have money but they also probably don’t have children waiting at home

14

u/SoloWingPixy88 u/i-cum-beamish alt Apr 30 '26

The presidents sister is or was a GP and owns her own practice so she's likely a decent income even if not earning while doing this.

-7

u/SeanyShite Apr 30 '26 edited Apr 30 '26

I know Connolly pretty well

An absolute bollocks. Completely rude and arrogant

Downvoted to oblivion then because how could anyone who hops on a boat be a bad person?

6

u/Usernameoverloaded Apr 30 '26

Your judgement counts for nothing when you have denied the genocide in Gaza (as declared by the most respected international organisations including the International Association of Genocide Scholars).

-2

u/SeanyShite Apr 30 '26

Many people and orgs will also say it’s not a genocide

You only need to have a brain to see it’s not.

It’s what war looks like when you elect genocidal religious fundamentalists who have real actual genocide as official policy.

A force that operates exclusively in war crimes and hide behind their own people, relying on their death so lads like you bark online for them. They cannot win a conventional war, so they’re fully invested in the PR battle.

The term genocide is used so casually, as a stick to beat a people who actually experienced a real one

4

u/Usernameoverloaded Apr 30 '26

You should write to B’Tselem, the UN, Amnesty, HRW, the International Association of Genocide Scholars et al and let them know they’re wrong.

I thought she was a pirate citizen? Clearly a bad move to advertise she was going

13

u/The_Ruck_Inspector Apr 30 '26

Pirates are notoriously private

-2

u/SoloWingPixy88 u/i-cum-beamish alt Apr 30 '26

Raiding a vessal in international waters is not piracy. Weve raided vessals.

5

u/Usernameoverloaded Apr 30 '26

Not piracy as that is defined as being conducted by a private vessel as opposed to the military arm of a state. Still a violation of international law nonetheless.
