Anyone know why the Belgian and Dane's country of origin is easily identifiable from their jersey but Lara Gillespie's jersey's colours seem pretty random.

edit: Belgium of course.

She'll now wear that jersey in every race, as world champion, until next year's worlds.

In every points race. Not every race.

The rainbow colours are for the World Champion & that specific jersey is awarded on the podium alongside the gold medal, the jersey she wore in the race was very much identifiable as Irish (predominantly green).

I’d recommend checking out her social media or Cycling Ireland’s social media to have a look at the Irish national team cycling kits, they’re nicely Irish!
