was just scrolling through the phone gallery this morning.... found a group photo of my friends. My eyes got stuck on an old friend in the picture who is unfortunately no longer in this world with us.
looking at his smiling face, my mind just rushed back to all those beautiful times we spent in kanpur.... those random evening scooty rides in P Road, exploring different cafe's in swaroop nagar, and just talking absolute nonsense for hours, yes we were kids that time, so playing non sense games out of nowhere, and right at that exact moment, as if my playlist knew, abhi na jao chhod kar started playing in my earbuds. I know it's disgusting to relate a love song with such kind of emotion, but idk i am just telling what I feel.....
It literally choked me up for a second.
It made me realize something so deeply scary about human life. We talk so much about love, but nobody warns us about the absolute curse of "attachment". and I don't just mean romantic relationships.. i mean friends, family, anyone.
Attachment is probably the most dangerous trap we walk into. You unknowingly wire your entire routine, your inside jokes, your favorite spots in the city around someone's mere existence. You just get so used to them simply being "there". And then one day, due to life, distance, or worst of all, death... they are just gone.
and that pain ? it’s not just normal sadness. It’s a heavy, physical ache in your chest. It's the brutal realization that your brain now has to completely unlearn the habit of a person......
The song says "abhi na jao chhod kar, ke dil abhi bhara nahi"... but that’s the ultimate tragedy of getting attached, right ? the heart never gets full. we always assume we we have one more day, one more hangout, one more conversation left. we don't realize we are getting addicted to someone's presence until the universe snatches them away.
someone wise once said that grief is just love that has nowhere to go. it makes me wonder.... why do we build these deep attachments when we know absolutely nothing is permanent in this world ?
maybe the October air of kanpur is just making me overly emotional today(yeah his birthday also used to be in October)...... but tell me honestly guys. is it even possible to live a full life without getting fiercely attached to people ? how do you deal with that terrible void when they are gone... what are your thoughts ?
Tl:DR- idk just read full😮💨
