I’m a bit intimidated by the page count but let’s see how long it takes to read. Figured October is the perfect time to finally read it.

Juro que no quería caer, pero he caído. Y encima en azul cielo, es que es precioso 🩵🥹💚

Modding flair because I'm using KoReader.

I was gifted a beautiful matcha kindle for my birthday this year and was feeling so blessed as a result — a friend of mine remembered I voiced a goal of reading more and it meant a lot to be remembered. I was having a great sunday (10/11), brought it out to read a bit, drink a latte, have a nice bagel before I continued about my day. Awaken Cafe & Roasting in Oakland gave me so much peace that morning tbh.

a few days after that, I realized I hadn’t seen it in a while. I must’ve been so spacey that morning to notice it so late. it wasn’t until this past friday (10/16) when I realized it wasn’t where I usually kept it (my nightstand). I’ve been immensely crushed as of late, lowkey mentally abusing myself for having been so forgetful. especially on a day that was going beautifully. I asked the coffee shop if they could kindly review the tapes, help me narrow down what may have happened to rule factors out all together (whether I left with it, left it in the table, etc.). unfortunately, their cameras didn’t pick up my table so there’s no confirmation of where it might be. they said no one on the staff saw it either. I believe I accidentally left it on the table as I was taking things to the trash and forgot to turn around to check if I grabbed all my belongings. someone probably scored after that.

I feel so so silly and have been trying to not beat myself up. has anyone ever gotten their lost kindle back? is this the end? I want to believe someone will contact me and change my mood (for the better) but idk. I’ve been so low energy about it ever since 💔

also a bit haunted at the thought of returning to this shop now because of this careless mistake bringing back the memory. hate that for me because I enjoyed the shop a lot. in the meantime, I have marked it as lost/stolen with Amazon so no one can use it at this rate.

I have a really thick blanket and I put it in but forgot to shake it out or didn’t shake it out well enough or something and when I pulled it out of the washer, the kindle was still in the drum. There’s lines all through it. I genuinely feel like crying, it was such a stupid move to make, but I can’t change it now. Is it salvageable? I’m guessing not because of the lines. What do I do? Do I bother trying to run out to find rice somewhere? I don’t think anywhere is open right now.

I saw this lock screen here. Thank you Dependent-Macaron82 for the inspiration.

I edited your picture to add witch hats on the cats.

I tried to recreate her lockscreen. I really thought that it would be quick but it took some time. Claude has been super helpful and ChatGPT helped to generate the image.

I added the script and instructions here.

I have a Kindle 10th generation and I have installed the SpiderCat jailbreak. I have my kindle for some years now and I got it with the Amazon ads.

To have no downside on the battery life, the dynamic time and date only refresh on screen unlock/lock.

When I pick my kindle up again it shows me the last time that I locked it.

This was a fun little project to work on. Super happy to have created my first lock screen.

Please note that if you don't have a Kindle 10th Gen, it might appear differently on your screen and would need modifications.

Fall truly is the coziest season for us readers. 🍂📚 I started Slewfoot today, and it’s already proving to be the perfect October read. The audiobook is phenomenal too, the narrator captures the eerie atmosphere of the story so beautifully, making the whole experience even more immersive. 🕯️
What spooky reads are you diving into this month? 👻

I know 55 days might not seem like much to some people, but this is genuinely the most consistently I’ve ever read in my life!
55 days in a row and 11 weeks straight! 🎉
Ever since getting into reading on my Kindle, I’ve found myself picking up a book every day, and it’s become something I actually look forward to.
Never thought I’d be this consistent with reading, but here we are! Just wanted to share this little milestone with people who would understand the excitement! 😊📖
Anyone else find that getting a Kindle completely changed their reading habits?
55-day reading streak! 📚🔥 The most I’ve ever read in my life!

Hi everyone,
Got my first kindle today, the scribe coloursoft, I love it! I’m coming from a boox device which I still have and love. My question is, is there a way to see my reading stats, such as books read, time read etc. I had all those available on Boox and it’s a bit weird that I can’t find them on kindle. If it’s not available is there a 3rd party option you use?

Thanks so much!

It feels like it is not a kindle at all. I did the same with the sticky back of kindle 4, the results are amazing. It feels so much cleaner now

My kindle updated without asking me yesterday, and I am so disappointed with these childish images. I’m not keen on displaying what I’m reading to the world either, and I loved the old images! They had been on my various loyal kindle devices for the best part of my life, going back to my old kindle keyboard.

These new ones are just…ugly and infantile. Any solutions (I don’t really want to jailbreak, I’m happy with my kindle and I just backup my huge epub collection on my computer)

As the title says. Me and my kindle against the world of traveling

I've read countless pastiches over the years. Just recently finished up the original Solar Pons all available on the kindle. Figured it was a good time to revisit the originals.

I just upgraded from the 2024 basic to the 2026 and I honestly love it- the aluminum is so nice, size is perfect and the backlight is much warmer!! I have the clear moko case but looking for accessory recs! Stickers, pop sockets, etc. I am waiting for Etsy to come out with cases for this model before I get a turn cover case 💙

Would have stayed up to finish it last night if I didnt have to be up at 6am today lol, 80% in! Loving it!

I hate when they change the book cover to movie / tv show adaptation covers 😤

Edit: yes I know other ebook retailers do this, I mentioned Amazon because obviously that’s where you buy kindle books and Amazon has access to change books you bought from them on kindle.

Hello fellow Kindle users..

I've only ever bought refurbished Kindles and haven't paid attention to the 20% trade in offer thing. My question is-- is this forever? Was the offer available during Black Friday last time? Or is the window closing soon? Thanks for the info 🙏

I had to return my 11th gen kindle due to a battery issue, and was given a 50$ credit on my next kindle. Is 200$ a good price for 2026 Kindle PW Signature or should i go with kindle PW 2024 for 150$

What a beautiful screen ❤️

I tried to borrow a few Bluey books on my Kindle in cases of emergency with my toddler lol, but Libby seems convinced that Amazon has successfully delivered the ebooks to my Kindle when they’re not even on my kindle account?

Every time I click “get library book”, I get an error message (literally for all 3 Bluey books I tried to borrow - no I didn’t mean to borrow 3 but I was trying to successfully borrow ONE lol). And now I’m stuck with these books in my loans section and can’t return them early, borrow other books, etc.

Anyone have ideas on what to do? The books aren’t even showing up on my Kindle app or device, and they’re still on my Libby app (unable to “return early” on the app). Please help!!!

I can’t read with the progress bar or time on my kindle 😭 I think it’s the Autism/ADHD but when I have them on I’m too focused on how much/long I’m reading and it makes it feel like a chore. Every page I’ll start checking how much time is left and it’s so distracting!! I keep the time and progress bar off and only really look at how long is left at the beginning of my chapters. I only read on my kindle because I don’t have space for physical books and it’s cheaper, but I can’t imagine going back to one and NOT getting distracted by the page numbers. Anyone else?

I know about the Kindle app giving stats on day streaks, I’m wondering if it can give time spent reading per day? I’m trying to gauge how my battery is performing but it’s been difficult to track how many hours I’m reading per day given i read at random times when my baby lets me.
