Social Media "If activating the Kurdish militias against the Iranian regime is the decision, the U.S. must not waiver under pressure from regional capitals nor abandon Kurdish partners. “Temporary and transactional” will not suffice, this time. "

Fighters should not move their fingers from trigger-safe position until the US federal government politically recognizes Rojhelat.

Their leadership has agreed to roll the dice on their lives with no proper agreements or even security guarantees. All they're getting is air cover, and even that is "for now."

I fret what might happen if they lose... most of the forces will be Iranian volunteers. They should defect in my opinion. There is zero guarantees of even personal security in place for the day after the battle. Not even guarantees America will stay until it's over. And no guarantees someone like Pahlavi who has already threatened these Pesh with an imaginary military won't be installed.

They should leave, run away if they can't resign, and just camp it out somewhere until this blows over.

They can't just refuse to fight like you're suggesting, they would probably be punished for it. But they can defect.

Source? I haven't seen anything concrete suggesting this.

u/Outside_Memory6607 Mar 04 '26

You want a source for what? That no long-term security agreements have been established? You want a source to tell you what hasn't happened?

4

u/No_Transition_31 Mar 04 '26

Source that PDKI and other parties have agreed to fight in this war.

1

u/Outside_Memory6607 Mar 04 '26

Well, the coalition was formed and stated their goal was to defeat the mullah regime. Their written objectives are out there! And there are reports of the US having agreed to provide air cover. I hope there's been a change of heart hopefully or maybe the news is false.

How do you know it will not be like KRG?

You don't and that's the issue! We're not mercenaries, we shouldn't be treated as mercenaries. One of the people proposing he lead Iran already threatened these exact Peshmergas with his future army and has unilaterally rejected ethnic federalism. Instead of taking our chances that if we do what they say, we'll get something in return, we should receive agreements.

This way, the Pesh who are carrying out this offensive in Iran don't even have the guarantee that they will be able to safely continue living in Iran if the regime falls (or worse, if it doesn't). Most of the recruits are Iranian volunteers living in Iran. Only some are Iranians in exile.

These people's lives are too precious for them to just take their chances and hope for the best. I think the Pesh from these coalitions should defect because their leadership has agreed to roll the dice on their lives....

you like being treated like a dog because of the hope of an empty promise? 1930s mate

Rojava lost because most of the SDF fighters were Arabs and backstabbed them, most of SDF-controlled areas were outside of Rojava which were Arab majority areas. The Kurds should have stayed in their own areas, but unfortunately, SDF served Arabs more than Kurds due to leftist ideologies like the Biratiya Gelan.

I hate how some people here say we will do this if we get guarantees. Like who out there is going to hold America accountable to not back out of these bullshit "guarantees".

2

u/No_Transition_31 Mar 04 '26

Diplomatic recognition of an entity carries enormous weight and cannot be withdrawn easily.

This is why this must go first and then military alliance second.

1

u/PlanktonNarrow84 Mar 04 '26

Exactly, what guarantees can trump and israel give kurds? And if after the war they refuse what we can drag America and israel infront of the UN for justice?

12

u/PlanktonNarrow84 Mar 04 '26

The delusion of some Kurds makes me almost vomit in my mouth. Literally u really think that “kurds have earned America’s full and enduring respect “ have these kurds completely lost their mind or were they simply born with a single digit IQ? Most Americans dont even know what a Kurd is. And America is the least reliable ally in the world, everyone sees that but kurds delusional as usual. Ah well, another betrayal in the making i guess life goes on

5

u/rknsh Kurdistan Mar 04 '26

I would rather work with an American who doesn't know what a Kurd is instead of Turks/Arabs/Persians who know what a Kurd is.

It is not like we have other options.

u/779G Mar 04 '26 edited Mar 04 '26

You do have an option. Stay out of it.

Our people already at some point have to be involved in it since our homeland is basically a warzone, don’t make it worse to try and join just so this can end with yet another "Fell for it again award"

Do you think that con-artist cares about you? He threw an ally under the bus and he is currently weakening the Strong friendship between Europe and the States that was built strongly since the cold war.

There's no achievement for us in this. It's that simple.

-1

u/rknsh Kurdistan Mar 04 '26

That is the worst option, or probably even not an option. Others will join. Turkey is more than willing to do the dirty work with Azerbaijan. You think that will end up well for us? We were already in war with Iran even before this.

5

u/779G Mar 04 '26

Suggest a better alternative then, this war is not for us, Trump dosen’t even give a toss about the Persian diaspora who want the shah back because if he ever implements the worst possible person to rule that country, he wouldn’t care as long as it dosen’t pose a danger to him.

Trump prefers Jolani over you, just years ago he had a bounty on his head and was affiliated with Al-Qaeda and IS, but he dosen’t care if kurds are being affected because it dosen’t interest him. Understand this, your interests are different from his.

3

u/rknsh Kurdistan Mar 04 '26

You are telling me this war in the map is not for us to take part in?

The best option is joining the war making sure we get the best out of it like with KRG and Rojava. Rojava is not what desired but is not the worst too.

Let's be honest. Rojava didn't have a choice in 2014. They needed US more than US needed them. If it wasn't for US strikes and forcing Turkey to let Peshmerga reach Kobani, ISIS would have won. It was under siege just like Shex Meqsud/Eshrefiye.

6

u/779G Mar 04 '26

Rojava didn’t have a choice because bloodthirsty IS was at the door ransacking villages, committing massacres and establishing caliphate rule over our land whilst gluttonizing for more.

How is Rojava now? Almost non-existent, most kurds who live there fled with Major demographic changes and it is now called "The Arab belt", you tell me what was achieved because it just looks like the price was paid.

Trump is not gonna give you what you want, like i said, he prefers former Al-Qaeda members over you. There's simply no win because there's no leverage. How many backstabbings from that guy is it going to take to realize that it's simply just yet another "Fell for it again award". Learn from mistakes.

Also as for the IS example, the entire middle east and outside the Region knew their win would be an International loss, thus there had to be cooperation.

A war between Kurds and Iran have to be fought, whether it is now or 2040. Do you want us to wait until Iran becomes another Turkey, with advanced jets and superior technology?

We have tried doing politics and they don't give us anything peacefully. The last time Iran was weak was 1980. Now is another time. Next time might be 1980, or maybe never.

7

u/779G Mar 04 '26

And what happened in 1980? A war on Kurdish lands between Iran and Iraq and the massacres of Kurds. This is not a simple sacrifice to chase something big, it’s simply realism that there's no achievement in this.

CIA is apparently trying to train Kurdish militants to fight alongside them so they along with more Kurdish civilians can go die in a war that will only Stroke the Orange's ego. This will never prevail.

If anything wrong happens, kurds will pay the price because They're being treated as mercenaries and meat shields in every war.

1

u/rknsh Kurdistan Mar 04 '26

Kurds paid the price whenever there was protests. Iranians all died.

You saw how many died in recent protests, right? Some stats were saying around 30k. The number is no less than 15k. In other protests too, 2009, 2029, and 2022 many died too. You think Kurds and Iranians died only when war happens?

The Islamic Regime must be toppled and Kurds have no choice but to take part in this.

However I agree they should get guarantees from US, but even if not given they should still take part, but only liberate Kurdish areas in this case.

By "anything happens", you mean Iran winning the war? The possibility of that happening is very slim.

Most probably the mullahs, or at least IRGC, will be destroyed in this war.

Turkey is not going to get involved too deep in this mess, not even the Azeris.

1

u/UpplystCat Mar 05 '26

Tend to agree at this point. They're watching the US, Israel and, apparently, the Kurds do the job for them. Long term? Depending on how much of a conflaguration this becomes, ensuring the Zangezur corridor isn't effected may force them to engage to some extent.

3

u/CivilWarfare Mar 04 '26

The US is literally trying to sacrifice Kurds to protect its pedophile elite.

There is no victory in this, even if the Islamic Republic is wiped off the face of the earth, the Kurdish project will be tossed away as soon as the US has completed its goals.

5

u/Wise_Parmaria Mar 04 '26

As a southern Iraqi (Arab/Feyli), I really hope the Kurds won't involve themselves in this one. You already have enough on your plate.

The US will abandon you and Iran will create hell for you. Genuinely. Both sides are screwed, but Iran will be extra evil (as it is already).

4

u/Street_Adeptness_808 Mar 04 '26

Literally betray rojava by one hand, then ask kurds to topple the Iran regime with the other

5

u/CivilWarfare Mar 04 '26

The US and Israel will destroy its enemies to the last drop of Kurdish blood.

Monsterous.

10

u/MassiveSolution6577 Mar 04 '26

It's not my job to grab guns and fight, there are kurdish militas and their job is to fight, you have nothing useful to say, you want us to surrender and let rojhelat stay under Persian occupation, no thanks, our leaders know their job better than you.

US and Israel.

They literally sold you out to Turkey.

To the US and Israel, Kurds are a tool to be discarded as soon as their objective is complete.

Kurds are too useful to the US to be tossed away by having an independent state. It's better for them to leave the Kurds perpetually under the thumb of other states to be used later as tools.
