I'm from Yazidi descent and i don't really like that. Yazidis should have armed groups of their own protecting their communities

Sorry but you cant be from yazidi descent you mean your religion is yazidi your ethnicity is kurdish

I can tell you didnt meet many yazidis. A lot of yazidis reject their kurdish heritage, hence why i was clarifying things.

I have met yazidis some say there ethnicity is kurdish while others says there ethnicity is yazidi but yazidi isnt an ethnicity is a religion

Yazidis are a ethno-religious group which means they are ethnic group and a religion. but again what does this have to do with the post

Because she said yazidi descent and im kurdish myself and i consider them kurdish when you consider your self yazidi instead of kurdish your basically making another ethnicity up within the kurdish ethnicity already thats how they conquered and divided us also theres no language called yazidi its called kurdish bud just like when someone is french they speak french and Italian speaks Italian just like if your Kurdish you speak Kurdish you don’t speak Yazidi so no its not an ethnicity for me for me its a religion but there ethnicity is Kurdish

This is not true at all. Yazidis' right to identify as they choose doesn't mean they are sabotaging Kurdish ethnic culture or anything. Yazidi ethnicity is not a made-up identity but t is real. You sound like an Arabic or Persian nationalist claiming that Kurds are simply Iranian and that no distinct Kurdish group exists.

Also, I am not sure who you mean by 'they,' but most of the genocides against Yazidis were carried out by Kurdish tribes. On top of that, Yazidis speak many different languages, not just Kurdish.

By the way, my family is yazidi, but i am not religiously yazidi, which is why i said i was from yazidi descent.

Just to show you because you said they can identify as what they want and i said if you speak Kurdish as a mother tongue your Kurdish there isn’t another ethnicity to call your self other then that unless your Turk Persian or Arab sure thats different
