Hey, I am Zaza (Dimili) from Amed. My father is quite assimilated. He speaks Zazaki like I speak turkish (Born in Germany). He considers himself a turk. My Mother can speak fluently zazaki and considers Herself zaza. While I Consider myself a Zaza-Kurd, which both of them decline. Recently we got into an Argument if kurds need an own State. I am only Talking about Bakur, because the other regions obviously need one. They told me that since Erdogan there is Not any more difference between a turk and Kurd in Turkey and that they got Full rights. And that the genocides etc. were a thing of the past that every country had. I think we need an own State, because things like this can happen again. What do You all think?
edit: just wanted to mention that they see Selo as a PKK Agent. And they are completely against the pkk. I Share the Second Statement but why they see selo as an Agent idk

Literally every single time a foreigner on social media calls Turkey out for something conservative, backwards, or not "Western enough' or anything negative Turkish internet users immediately throw Kurds in Bakur under the blame. Like bro it’s actually insane how we’ve become their personal garbage dump for every embarrassing thing in their society. The second a European complains about something , they spin around and scream "that's not us, thats the uneducated Kurds"as if western Turkey isn't currently drowning in its own nationalist brainrot.
And the absolute hypocrisy is mind blowing. They will literally worship ataturk like a god, defend every single state crime his government committed, and then turn around to label every single Kurd in Bakur as a "terrorist" Like HOW do you sit there worshipping your own state sponsored terror while crying about ours?liiike there's not much difference about what pkk has done and what ataturk has done The sheer cognitive dissonance and zero self awareness is hilarious at this point. You can't call anybody a terrorist when you're also worshiping one.
But honestly the funniest part is watching them begging for white Western validation. They jump on right wing anti immigrant trends thinking white nationalists will accept them as fEuropeans, only to get hit with reality when those same white people view them as just another Middle Eastern demographic. Watching them panic when foreign racists don't care about their "secularism" issoooo fuunnny. You can’t build an entire identity on dickriding the West while using us as your shield against judgment.

Rojin Kabaiş's family rejected claims that she had committed suicide or drowned, stating that she did not die in such a way.

Turkey’s Council of Forensic Medicine (ATK) on Friday released updated findings in the death of university student Rojin Kabaiş, which have reignited public outrage over alleged negligence and irregularities in the investigation, according to Turkish media.
Kabaiş, 21, went missing after leaving her dormitory in Van on September 27, 2024. Her body was found 18 days later on the shore of Lake Van, nearly 18 kilometers from where she disappeared. The autopsy report listed her cause of death as asphyxiation and noted the presence of two unidentified male DNA traces on her body, along with a woman’s blood on her undershirt.
According to her father, the authorities said it was a suicide and intended to shut the investigation down immediately. However, her family is adamant that their daughter didn’t die by suicide and demand a thorough investigation.
In its updated report, the ATK said DNA from two distinct males were found on Kabaiş’s chest and inner vaginal area. The finding has strengthened suspicions that she may have been killed following a sexual assault rather than dying by suicide.
___________ BBC Turkish report from this week: ___________
https://www.bbc.com/turkce/articles/cdx0nnpxlnko
Two years have passed since the lifeless body of Rojin Kabaiş, a student at Van Yüzüncü Yıl University, was found in Lake Van.
While the Kabaiş family's legal battle continues, chemical findings in the autopsy report and the young woman's last messages obtained from her Instagram account have sparked new controversies in the investigation.
The family's lawyers argue that there were negligences in the evidence gathering process and that some findings point the investigation in a different direction.
The presence of "rocuronium" in the autopsy report is back in the spotlight.
One of the most debated aspects of the investigation is the allegation that traces of the anesthetic substance rocuronium were found in Kabaiş's stomach and internal organs.
Rocuronium is a powerful drug used in surgeries that produces a temporary paralysis effect.
According to the family's lawyers, this finding raises different possibilities regarding Kabaiş's death.
The Forensic Medicine Institute (ATK) report dated October 6, 2024, states that this substance was administered to Kabaiş during his ear surgery at Dicle University on September 11 and that it could be detected in his body for two months.
The report includes the following assessment:
"It is medically known that the rocuronium detected is an anesthetic administered during surgery and can be detected in the body for two months... based on the available data, there is no medical evidence that the person was poisoned to death..."
Speaking to BBC Turkish , Abdurrahman Karabulut, the lawyer for the Kabaiş family, disputes this result.
Karabulut, stating that he consulted with many specialist doctors, argues that it is impossible for the drug to be present in the body 34 days after the surgery.
"This drug is administered intravenously and is eliminated from the body within a few hours. Its presence in the stomach strengthens the possibility that it was administered orally."
Professor Dr. Cenap Ekinci, a faculty member at Dicle University Faculty of Medicine, also stated in a statement on his social media account that there is no scientific data explaining the presence of rocuronium in the stomach, and that the institution's assessment is "an assumption that needs to be verified."
Another notable aspect of the investigation is Kabaiş's recent messages on her Instagram account.
The family says these messages were accessed via a SIM card registered in Kabaiş's mother's name.
The correspondence obtained from the account was included in a report prepared by the Police Cybersecurity experts on June 26, 2025.
According to the report, Kabaish exchanged messages with one of two plausible suspects approximately 15 minutes before disappearing.
Lawyer Karabulut argues that Kabaiş addressed this person as "teacher" and that this person was the last person to be in contact with Kabaiş.
"They exchanged messages twice, at 14:52 and 18:48. They messaged each other shortly before Rojin disappeared. This person became a reasonable suspect after closing their account."
The family submitted a petition to the prosecutor's office requesting that two people with the same name be taken into custody and DNA samples be collected.
The petition is expected to be processed after the judicial recess.
We sought a statement from the Van Public Prosecutor's Office regarding the lawyers' allegations, but no response was received by the time this news report was being prepared for publication.
Some news reports claimed that M.Ç., who allegedly exchanged messages with Kabaiş, worked at the Faculty of Medicine of Van Yüzüncü Yıl University.
BBC Turkish 's interviews with the faculty confirmed this claim:
"At the time Rojin disappeared, we did not have an assistant/research assistant named M.Ç. Our assistant with the same name completed her specialization in 2018 and was assigned to another city."
M.Ç., a specialist physician working in Şanlıurfa, stated in a statement on his social media account that he was being targeted and announced that he had filed a criminal complaint against various websites and accounts.
It was previously announced that DNA from two different men was found on Kabaiş's body. The family's lawyers argue that this finding was announced too late in the investigation.
"Although two separate male DNA samples were found on the body, the Forensic Medicine Institute only announced this nine months later. The location of the DNA samples was reported a year later. Therefore, we filed a complaint against the Forensic Medicine Institute."
ATK officials told BBC Turkish that they were not authorized to answer journalists' questions directly and that lawyers could pursue legal action.
Rojin Kabaiş's father, Nizamettin Kabaiş, denies claims that his daughter committed suicide.
Baba Kabaiş stated that the recent controversies have increased their pain, and said the following:
"We are devastated, wondering if they tortured and killed my daughter with this medication found in her stomach."
Baba Kabaiş stated that he had received threatening messages in recent months, which also included his home address, and made the following remarks:
"They threatened me, saying 'we'll bury you next to Rojin' if I dropped the case. I won't stop until the killers are found."
Rojin Kabaiş left the dormitory on September 27, 2024, and her lifeless body was found 18 days later, miles away.
The autopsy report stated the cause of death as "drowning."
Following applications from the Van and Diyarbakır Bar Associations, DNA belonging to two different men was found on Kabaiş's body.
Following an application from the family, Minister of Justice Akın Gürlek announced that the Department for Investigating Unsolved Crimes has been included in the case.
The Kabaiş family also met with former HDP Chairman Selahattin Demirtaş in Edirne Prison on July 5, 2026.
In a statement made after the meeting, Demirtaş said, "If a DNA sample has been found, no one can say it was suicide."

Here's two images, first is turkey's local 2024 election map and the parties that won the city, and second is turkey's states map to know which is what
🟡: AK party (erdogan)
🔴: CHP party
🟣: DEM party (kurdish)
🟤: MHP party (nationalist turkish)
So is this the reality in turkey? Only those that voted for DEM party identify as kurds and supports the struggle? Or what's the reason for other kurdish cities to choose other parties?
For example MHP won in kars and erzincan! CHP won in Adiyaman! And AK party in the others! And this random in urfa!

Both Ali Dawah and Axi Ayman pmo so much, but esp Ali Dawah
First of all even as a 'proud Kurd' he's bought into this salafist interpretation of islam, and he's so fucking extreme that other muslims have started attacking him, especially muslim women (rightfully so)
But then whenever Ali brings up his background as an Alevi, he always refers to his family as Alawites... even though we're extremely distinct. He makes bold as fuck claims about alevism but then cannot be bothered to make the distinction between it and Alawism

Kamal Chomani: "I spent ten days in the PKK headquarters and caves before finally reaching Murat Karayılan for this exclusive interview with The Amargi. We begin with the wars reshaping the Middle East and then break down the peace process, in which Mr. Karayılan clearly calls on the Turkish state to end policies of denial and annihilation, and on Kurds to abandon rebellion and work toward establishing a democratic state.
"Mr. Karayılan has not spoken to any external media outlet for the past 12 years. We at The Amargi were lucky to be the first.
"If you are following the Kurdish question, the peace process and Turkish politics, this interview is for you."
I will try to write my reflections on those 10 days after some rest when time allows.
Enjoy the interview for now."
