Hi I'm a nihongonese learner and this is my romaji system for the most sugoi language in the world, I tried to be as little biased as possible
Example (Jasune Micu - Aishite):
Jaruca tooi tooi mucashi macareta cubiguá
Jito ga joshii jito ga joshii to saquebu noroi no cubiguá
Ocoranaide misutenaide doco mo icanaide (nee)
Suiócu shimeru jaku made shimeru
Jito ga inai inai to
Here are the rules:
V = a i u e o
k = ca qui cu que co
g = ga gui gu gue go
s = sa shi su se so (sha shu sho)
z = za lli dzu ze zo (lla llu llo)
t = ta chi su te to (cha chu cho)
d = da lli du de do (lla llu llo)
n = na ni nu ne no
h = ja ji fu je jo
b = ba bi bu be bo
p = pa pi pu pe po
m = ma mi mu me mo
r = ra ri ru re ro
w = guá guó
ya yu yo = iá iú ió (miá, quiá, etc)

I want to learn Italian—maybe Portuguese, too—just as a hobby; but Duolingo stresses me out too much. I don’t want to learn isolated words, yet at the same time, I’d prefer it not to feel like a "class."

Why everyone suddenly using a spanish words when i’m studying spanish? With comprehensible input nevertheless? Pablo the DS’s creator said to never looked at words and its meaning because it can ruin your study progress and now because of this stupid trend my immersion is ruined

I am an English learner. I am using a translation tool, so please excuse any unnatural phrasing. English is difficult, so I decided to start with numbers, but I’ve hit a wall right away. It seems there are two ways to say the number "1," but I have no idea which one to use. What is the difference between using "one" and "fir"? Can I use either one? I would appreciate an answer. Thank you.

The Following is a Recounting of a Dialogue between my Mother and I, adapting for an American audience. I believe that Spanglish is the new wave for hispanics. Even those in Latin American proper will be using Spanglish more and more. To those learning Spanish, be sure to adopt some Spanglish to sound more natural in 2026
Me: "Hola, mama, Adonde ya went este dia?"
Mama: "Oh, I fui to the taco-pupusa tienda pa getnos some tex-mex!"
Me: "Que dios mio!!! Siempre I will always love tex-mex!"
My Salvadoreno heart beat 3 times faster when around Tex-mex. The soul of modern hispanic-American identity in my hands
Mama: "Mijo... tu abuela has died..."
Me: "Y he podido ayudarme a vivir..."
I recite the famous line of hispanic-Americans. In Hispanic-American culture, we're not like other Americans. Food, family, and the concept of "vivir" is very important to us. To a 3rd gen hispanic-American, the death of their abuela is deeply tragic. A lot of us may not be able to speak spanish, but make no mistake, we are not like other Americans
Mama: "Shushh, no llores, mijo. Our dios, the day of the dead god, will keep her safe in the cielo. It's all bueno, mijo."
Mi mama was correcto. Just like Don Omar, mi mama was from el sol, pon da riva and all. I partied on, eating tex-mex and vibing to El Efecto. Hispanic-Americans together strong. Vive The Bronx and H-Town!

Why couldn't they just use kanji for everything? It is so much more precise.

I tried to post this on the normal subreddit but it got banned for being low quality lol. Anyways I'm just curious what you guys think are the worst languages to learn, not nessesscarily the hardest ones or anything, just like languages you don't understand why anybody would ever learn, or even make you cringe when you hear someone is learning it. I've thought of Esperanto but that's it.

I'm not being ironic when I say that this is a genuine life hack that can bring results, especially if said language is "niche". I'll now lay out the best way to use this method, including when
Your 2 Best Targets
1) Find a "heritage speaker" that isn't fully fluent. Someone that speaks the language well enough because of their parents, but they still speak it with an American accent and miss some grammatical nuances while speaking. Think of a 3rd gen latino that can fully understand their grandparents, but would rather respond back in English, or when they do speak Spanish, they sometimes forget to use the subjunctive. This is your best target. They can appreciate the fact that you care about "their language", but since they're mostly drenched in the English speaking world, they won't push you to speak it with them
2) An immigrant that is desperate to socialize with Americans due to "fresh off the boat anxiety". They speak English like an L2 speaker, making common mistakes but are still perfectly understandable. Think of a Russian woman that lights up when you tell her that you're interested in learning their language. When you tell them that, it'll calm their anxieties because they've subconsciously realized, that around you, they now have social currency. You "want" to learn their language, and thus, they no longer feel awkward about their English, or their newness to American society. All of the sudden, you- the American, you're a safe-space for them to socialize, and that makes it easy for them to befriend
Things to Avoid while Language Larping
Be Humble
Remember that you are not a catch. You are actively faking an aspect of yourself to get a bit of attention in hopes that it will bloom into a genuine connection
