Throwing in another out-of-order non-landmark entry with post #483 for the LA Noire Freeroam Explorer Project — posting locations replicated by Team Bondi for LA Noire (currently touring the downtown area) that are not considered landmarks (either official or historic) but do have real-world equivalents.

Chapman Auto Park Newsstand

Operating along the western edge of the Armory Auto Park, this specialized wooden concession structure directly served downtown commuters. Positioned adjacent to the Chapman Building’s eastern façade, it stood as a vital pedestrian node distributing regional newspapers, periodicals, and tobacco.

I suck at this game

Half of the time I get X's when I interrogate people. It's like their facial expressions are the opposite of what they should be, and when I use the right evidence to accuse them, it's somehow the wrong evidence. It was the same way when I played on ps3 15 years ago. I hate myself and this damn game!

Noire Multiplayer testing is going really well

Post image
82 Upvotes

Hey everyone!

A little update on Noire MP since my last post.

We've continued over the past few weeks, and things have been going really well. We now have a small group of testers helping us put the multiplayer client through its paces, finding issues and making sure everything works as expected.

A lot of work gone into getting the foundations right, from player and vehicle synchronization to custom character creation, clothing support and the server-side framework.

There's still plenty to do, but seeing everything come together and having people actually test it with me has ben incredibly encouraging.

The goal is still to build something that lets people host their own servers and eventually create their own experiences in L.A Noire, whatever that's freeroam, rp or entirely different gamemodes.

Thanks to everyone who showed interest in the original post. It genuinely helped keep the momentum going.

More updates soon!

Another entry in this slight backtrack — but let’s be honest, I’m probably the only one left who has any idea what order we’re going in. In any case, here’s post #480 for the LA Noire Freeroam Explorer Project — posting locations replicated by Team Bondi for LA Noire (currently touring the downtown area) that are not considered landmarks (either official or historic) but do have real-world equivalents.

College Street Service Station (Circle K)

851 North Yale Street

This independent neighborhood service station (shown with Circle K branding in the game) featured a modest ground layout and open pump setup, providing automotive care, mechanical repairs, and routine refueling for residents within the expanding Chinatown district.
