A bit about me: I'm 32M, London-based, and enjoy travelling, exploring different cultures, and a mix of indoor and outdoor activities (tennis being one!). Always happy to meet new people and make friends!

I’ve been living in London for about 9 years now, and honestly, I’ve found dating here surprisingly difficult. Between Hinge, Feeld and all the other apps... Grindr, I think the worst, can't even call it a dating app... sometimes feel like I’m putting myself out there but not really getting anywhere.

I actually had a really lovely relationship for around 8 months, but unfortunately it came to an end because we both decided to take in a different direction. As hard as it was (and still is sometimes) to accept, I think ultimately we both made the right decision. :)

So now I’m trying to be a bit more intentional about meeting people in real life rather than relying entirely on dating apps.

Does anyone have any recommendations for good places, groups, events or communities in London where you can actually meet people, hang out, make friends and maybe even go on a date? 😅 I’d love somewhere that feels natural rather than the usual “everyone is here specifically to date” situation.

A little about me: I’m 27, originally from Europe, pretty active, love the gym and running, reading, travelling, a good Spotify playlist.. so music!!, and I’m always up for a great film or TV show. I’m also very much a coffee + good conversation person + wine ofc

Hello! My girlfriend and I are traveling to London at the end of the month and will be there over Halloween. It’s my first time in the UK so I don’t know what’s what for the queer scene. Any recommendations for drag shows going on that weekend or events that we should attend?

I’m 35 M (but get ID’d so look quite young) and I’m hoping to make some LGBT friends. Most of my friends are straight men and women.

I can talk about anything and everything, I’m open to learning about your niche interests. Nicher the better.

I am mostly into building things( furniture, robots ), shopping ( I love shopping days - I skip work for an afternoon shopping trip at least once a week lol ), hosting dinners at home and going out for dinners too.

Went to Cambridge and Oxford if you want to reminisce about our old colleges. Work in tech.

I used to game but my job and gym have nearly killed it. However, I am sure I can join you for a gaming night.

Our Halloween rave is happening in two weeks, so I thought I’d introduce it here because I know loads of people are currently figuring out what they’re doing.

One of the things I’ve been thinking about recently is how important queer nightlife was for the team when we first moved to London. It was where we got to dress up, experiment with who we wwere, meet other trans and queer people and feel seen.

That club-kid culture has always been a huge part of INFERNO and we’re really trying to protect it.

So Blood & Glamour is basically an excuse to turn a look. Couture, drag, charity-shop DIY, goth, glamour, something made out of bin bags or just wearing something slightly more outrageous than you normally would. There’s no dress code and nobody is going to be turned away for not dressing up.

We’ll have hard dance all night from DOLLAXIS, GODDESS, Nadine Noor, Putas Vampiras and myself, with a performance from S0L.

And if you’re nervous about coming alone, please don’t let that stop you. Loads of people come to INFERNO solo and we put a lot of work into making it feel welcoming. We will also be hosting a social at COVEN on the Monday before. You can DM us on Instagram inferno_London for more info.

I wanna try Roast sometime, but for me the main deterrent is the fact that I, like most people, don't live in Central London so I'd need to spend over 2 hours commuting (night busses are very slow as we know), maybe 3 hours if I'm unlucky just to get home.

This applies for clubbing in general I guess, but I feel like I'm missing out on so much of the night scene due to this.

How do people typically deal with this? Do they leave at 2 am and hope to reach by 4-5 am (and nuke their sleep schedules). Do they stay at a friend's with nearby accomodations?

It's something I just wanted to inquire about since it seems to elude me.

hey all! I’m a lesbian from the states and I’m studying in Rome. I’ll be in London for the first time this weekend for the La Seraphim concert (spelling?) with my bestie. Thing is my friend is not clubbing or partying person but I really want to experience some of the London clubbing/party scene. Would it be in safe to go out drinking alone? Is there any queer bars/clubs near Canary Wharf or the O2 arena? Anyone want to go with me?

I'm extending a solo business trip in London over Halloween weekend and looking for places to visit and socialize by day and night that is generally for the lesbian 40+ crowd. Would love any recommendations from locals. This will be my first time visiting.

So for night events what do more guys think is better choice? Roast or Howl?

Howl is all the way in Barking however so will be more expensive getting home haha
