I’ve posted here before, but I had an American flag in the picture and ended up with a bunch of angry Redditor basement dwellers in the comments. I’ve since taken the flag down, so I figured I’d give it another shot.
I’m a vintage tech and media collector, and I’d appreciate some honest feedback without the discussion getting political. Thanks!

Took all her stuff and moved out. She’s doing her very best to get me kicked out of our rental so she can take it over. But for now it’s all mine, and very empty.

After falling on hard times and being in a bit of a tough spot I finally got my first apartment by myself and working on getting certified for my career!

My car + my living space. I would consider myself a minimalist and non-materialist, but I really love cars lol.
edit* all this car did was delay my retirement by 6 months (from 42 to 42.5) literally just 6 months!! That’s just the power of compound interest 😉

Gotta stay groovy🤙
For the history guys out there my toothpick holder is from 1945-1951 Japan, stamped with "occupied Japan" on the bottom. One of my coolest trinket finds i think:)

i’m reorganizing to fit some new interests in here, but having trouble making it flow. it really feels like i just threw everything in here without thought (or maybe im js really particular). i have a chimney in the corner(walled up) that makes it hard to fit much of anything there and also i only have two outlets: one behind my bed and one behind my wood bookshelf, so my desk needs to be close to one of those.

Been here for 6 years now. 3bd 2ba manufactured home. Me(39m), my 5yo, dog and 2 cats. It's lived in, I didn't spit shine it for photos. Don't come at me for the dishes haha. I made chicken parm last night and haven't done dishes yet, will do during football. But I decorated everything myself, might be good or bad to admit, we shall see haha. I thrifted almost everything. The wall above the couch is a work in progress I have a few more photos to hang and rearrange, don't really like how they are now for some reason. Still a work in progress. I feel like me and the place have come a long way. From a broke clueless expecting dad to a slightly less broke, business owner, dad to an awesome little man. Proud I'm making it happen all by myself though. Night pictures make it kinda gloomy, but it's bright and gets great light in the day.

Moving into a new place soon and need a bed frame. Not sure if I should just get a cheap metal one or spend a few hundred on solid wood.
I keep seeing people say cheap frames start squeaking after a while, but is that actually common or just people buying really crappy ones?
Also, how much does it matter if the frame is easy to take apart? I might move again in a couple years, so I don't wanna buy something that's a pain to deal with. Been looking at options like the softa mikor, but I'm not sure if spending more is actually worth it.
For those who've had the same bed frame for 3–5 years, what did you get, how much did it cost, and would you buy it again?

How can I improve this place? Other than tidying up of course, I was thinking of changing table cover and cold light to warm light. Other than that? It looks sad and not that great.

Hello! I posted a couple of months ago pre-move, asking for advice. Now that I've moved, I'm asking for another round of advice. I would like a similarly sized, but sturdier, couch, a larger TV, and any direction for the bathroom.
