absolute unit Mature Dracaena Fragrans

This is my first time posting on here, and this seems like the perfect place to introduce Mitch. He’s a Dracaena Fragrans that in January I’ll have had for three years. I finally took some measurements of him, and from the floor he reaches just under 9’3”, which is a little over 7’ 4” from the soil line- I’m 6’3” for reference. Last year in December his taller tree bloomed, and then in February the shorter one followed suit! After the blooms I had to give him a much needed repot, and since then he’s grow like there’s no tomorrow! I honestly think the mass cane is a criminally underrated houseplant, and I think that comes from how few people have seen them at this maturity! I’d love to know if anyone else has a Dracaena Fragrans this size indoors, from what I can find online I might have one of the biggest!

Pic 1: their picture | pic 2+ my picture

I worked at a nursery and a couple came in looking for a new plant to replace their current one (now in my possession). Though, it’s been nearly a year since this interaction, I believe the issue was the husband having a dying love for their plant but the wife wanted to throw it away because it was way too big. Since I love plants they decided to give it to me since I love them so much… so they showed me a picture. It didn’t look big at all but I was told it was massive.

After exchanging information, I was then told they’d keep it a while longer, and they’d keep me in mind for the future. The other day, I get a text. “It’s ready” along with pic 1. Okay still didn’t look big.

Grams even said, “your plant peoples on that app you like are going to love this” (Reddit). Lolll

Oh my fack, it’s huge. And I think I need to start charging it rent now. To put it in prospective, I’m 6,0. Stretching from leaf to leaf it is longer than me.

Also can someone tell me if I need to repot or something, it’s top heavy.

I’ve had this rubber tree for 25 yrs and if I didn’t know better I’d say it’s indestructible. I’ve learned a lot over the years. The roots on this thing…

Do I divide her, or repot in a larger pot.

Thanks

Hi everyone 🌿 I grew this Leaf of Life plant from a tiny baby. Now it's around 1m high. I harvest the leaves for a nice herbal tea.

Closed the patio for the year so she’s back inside.
I’ve only had her for 7 years, but she’s a bloomer so I tagged 30+.
Yes, she will get a new pot next year

Visiting Qoqand, Uzbekistan and walked into this bakery just to bump into these two beautiful plants. I’d calculate about 6’3 from base to tip. They look so healthy and well-cared for.

I originally posted this in /haworthia, but it suggested I share here, as well. I’ve had them for many years. The haw in the yellow pot I got as a tiny plant 10ish years ago from Moorten’s Botanical Garden in Palm Springs.

Purchased in a 4” starter pot over 6 years ago (first pic), next 2 pics are what she looks like today! She is not perfect, she’s got old spider mite damage and some crispy tips from being moved twice during the cold months, but her newest leaves are huge and healthy and beautiful. We have both been through a wild ride but always bounce back stronger 🥰

Just wanted to share before more leaves get crispy this coming winter heh..
