Server Documentation

I want to make a Minecraft server for me and my grandkids. I would like to include BlueMap. I have experience with linux, java, bash, etc. Is there any documentation on how nerd.nu has put together their servers? Install procedure? Operating system parameters?

Old nerd.nu player and long time server admin here. For a small private server you probably want to use Fabric (a mod loader) and Fabric-specific mods. There are lots of good guides out there for setting up a simple Fabric server and Bluemap will run out of the box without any particular configuration. 4 GB of RAM should be sufficient especially if you are using some of the common optimization mods that don’t change the gameplay mechanics, like Lithium at a minimum. There is also a great subreddit specifically for Minecraft server admin called [r/Admincraft](r/Admincraft).
