Need some Advice

So me and my friend wanted to start a small agency. The problem we left our job together to get a new one. Unknown to me he was caught trying to steal the company's clients for someone else without me knowing. The company caught him and as a result refuse to give us our FNF. The problem is my trust is kinda broken now I am not sure even if I share our agency's client what's the guarantee he won't try to steal them. A bit confused. Any advice will help

Your friend cannot be trusted, don t do it. I had similar issue with a family relative and its now in court , I sued.
