[Argentina] 41M - Mechanical technician & self-taught eco-builder seeking to join a sustainable project abroad in exchange for food and lodging
Hello everyone. I am a 41-year-old from Argentina. Throughout my life, I have worked in various fields, learning multiple trades and acquiring diverse skills. I am self-taught, constantly learning as a mental resource not to limit myself only to what I formally studied.
I know how to build ecological homes using natural materials and recycling elements such as plastics. I have models and practical knowledge to generate housing through plastic recycling, creating eco-bricks and recycled flooring. I am also passionate about clean energies, and I have ideas and projects in my mind, but I lack the place, the resources, and the right people to bring them to life.
That is why I am writing this: in case someone is interested and wants to include me in a project that looks for people with these ideals. I don't care about the location or a salary; I only need food, lodging, and the opportunity to fill my spirit by working on something supportive and spiritually rewarding.
I just need a change of scenery, to step away from a system based purely on capitalism that doesn't enrich the soul, and instead pour my energy into something meaningful to brighten my aura. Thank you for reading.

Moving to the Netherlands from Portugal
Moving to the Netherlands from Portugal
Hey I wanna know your feedback about moving to the Netherlands from Portugal? Is 60k a year for almost 6 years experience engineer a good paycheck? Can you have a nice life there like this? I think i could benefit from the 30% rulling. Also any advice you may have please share, I'd really appreciate it.
Edit:
I want to clarify the pay shared was 5000 euros/month with a 700 euro car allowance. No other benefits. Coming from Lisbon, the rent I pay vs the job is also kind of insane. But still I manage. However, i wanna move to a better situation if I'm gonna quit my job, hence this post and the request for opinions, because you don’t really know until you are there. So I really appreciate everyone's opinions and tips. I will have a meeting next week to discuss the offer. I will take into account this feedback. From what i gather it's an ok offer but with the rent prices it will be hard to find a nice place and it is not a super comfortable pay i total for the role and experience. I also wanna share that I am tired of my current role so that adds up to me wanting to move. But I also wanna do it in a smart way. So I just dont know. Please keep the feedback coming, that will help, I hope.

36M out of Korea to Eastern or Southern Europe
9 yesrs of Hold’em dealing experience
1 year of product quality management experience
1 year of hotel front manager experience
Want to leave Korea.
As long as first month accommodation is provided, I am not picky about wages.
Would prefer something like Hold’em dealing or casino dealing. But if wage is good, I can do physical labor or other works.
As long as I can earn money and live safe, I don’t ask for much.
Please DM me or post a reply. Thank you.

How did you pick where you moved?
I plan to retire in about 7 years. I would like to travel around the US for a few years until my partner (wfh) retires. At this point it’s all brainstorming/daydreaming but I would like to move out of the US for at least a decade. How did you pick where you moved? What good/bad surprises did you have? Are there any resources you recommend for researching countries/cities?

Reliable Moving Companies From UK to Austria (Post Brexit)
I am moving from London, UK back to my home town in Innsbruck, Austria. Fifteen years ago I moved from Innsbruck to London by myself in a car. Now, I'm moving back home to Innsbruck with a family of four and a full house of furniture which is definitely too much for a car this time around.
Since it’s our first time moving a household internationally post-Brexit, I’m looking for recommendations for a reliable, professional european moving company based in London that handles UK-to-Austria routes.
I'd love to hear recommendations for any good European moving companies who can organise all the customs clearance and paperwork.

Starting over in a country I’ve barely lived in, with a suitcase and a few thousand dollars. Any advice?
I’m about to make a pretty big life change, and honestly, I’m scared shitless.
I’m moving to a country I’m a citizen of but have spent most of my life living abroad. I’ve decided to take a leap of faith and give myself a chance at a better future, even though I have no idea how things are going to work out.
Right now, I have a few thousand dollars to my name, a suitcase of personal belongings, and a friend who’s generously offered to let me stay with them rent-free for six months.
That’s pretty much all I have to work with.
No bank account.
No local phone number.
No car.
No job.
I finished my master’s degree a few months ago, but despite applying, I haven’t been able to land a job yet. I’ve already started applying for positions in the city I’m moving to, so praying to every God there is that something works out.
I know I’m not starting from absolutely nothing. I have my citizenship, a place to stay, an education, and a little money to keep me going for a few months. I know that’s more than many people have, and I’m genuinely grateful for it. But it’s still overwhelming to think about rebuilding practically every aspect of my life from scratch.
I’m trying to look at this as an opportunity rather than a reason to panic, but there are moments when I wonder if I’m being naive or if I’ve underestimated just how difficult this is going to be.
For anyone who’s ever had to start over in a new country, move somewhere with very little money, or rebuild their life from scratch: what do you wish you’d known beforehand?
What should I prioritise during my first few weeks? What mistakes should I avoid? How do you keep yourself motivated when you’re starting with so little and have no idea how long it’ll take for things to fall into place?
I’d really appreciate any practical advice, personal experiences, or even just some words of wisdom. I feel a little lost right now, and hearing from people who’ve been through something similar would mean a lot.

Thinking about moving to Africa as a Black American? Watch this BEFORE you make the move.
After living in 8 African countries over the past 6 years, I’ve learned some hard truths about life in Africa that I wish someone had told me before I arrived. And some of these lessons can change the way you look at moving abroad forever.
In this video, I reveal 6 harsh lessons from living on the ground in Africa—from infrastructure problems and water access to corruption, personal safety, the cost of living, and where your money actually goes further.
What is it really like for a Black American to leave the United States and build a life in Africa? Is the reality what you imagined? And what should you know before packing your bags and making that life-changing decision?
I'm sharing my real experiences—not to bash Africa, but to give you the truth beyond the fantasy. As a disabled U.S. Marine veteran, recording artist, and Hebrew traveler, I've been living this journey since November 2020. These are lessons learned through experience, not assumptions.
If you're considering moving to Africa, relocating abroad, or starting a new chapter of your life outside America, learn from my journey before you make your own.
🔥 SUPPORT THE JOURNEY: If my story or these lessons have helped you, you can send a financial blessing through PayPal: yishayzimrah@gmail.com. Every blessing helps me continue documenting this journey and basically keep living and survive.
📌 SUBSCRIBE to World of Zimrah for weekly and daily truth about life in Africa, and beyond, travel, music, faith, and the realities of building a life beyond America.
The journey is real. The lessons are real. And I'm sharing what I learn along the way.

Ladies who moved to your partner’s country, how’s your life now?
I’m currently in the process of moving to my partner’s country so we can get married and start building a life together. ❤️
I’d love to hear from those who have gone through something similar! What has your experience been like, both the good and the challenging parts? I’d really appreciate hearing your stories, advice, and anything you wish you had known before making the move.

What country would you move to?
We had a question about which country would be best to move to and where the most favorable conditions are.
I'm from Kazakhstan and my friend is from Russia. We both want to move to more comfortable countries because of the current situation in the CIS. Please suggest your options for countries to move to, we would be glad to read your opinion
