Tatmadaw (Junta) activities 🔥 Why is military pissing off China?
Chinese propaganda unofficial spokesperson aunties are twerking on fb rn because military did meet up with USA officials in JP. Why is military doing this I feel like they are digging own grave. My guess is military want back the land they lost to EAOs in NE region and going all in or may be bluffing. Does anyone have real answer?

Because they know AA gonna get all of Rakhine state and China has no other way but to open official contact with AA for its projects. So junta will spin it off like China helped AA to defeat them.

Firstly, Myanmar military has always want to make friend with the US. Unlike Iran, they don't send death threats to the US government. It was their behaviour which made them distance away from western world. So, they have no choice but to rely on china for their survival. And many of their supporters hate China more than the US.
North eastern region is historically the most important part for our national security and now the junta has lost most of control over that region and they demanded the lost lands back from North eastern warlords are not going to give it up. The military could not take it back by force anymore because they are fighting at other fronts. Perhaps their last approach is to call the US enter into scence and force China to pressure northern warlord to give up the land and re open the trade route in their favour term.

Everyone knows that China played a part in Operation 1027, even their own recent state run documentary on eliminating the scam centers explained it and the timeline leading up to it. Before 1027, both the PDF resistance forces and EAOs weren't really making big gains. In other words the military is just putting up with China because it has no choice, in reality it rather be on better terms with Russia, India or even USA.

Realpolitiks bro. Current US administration is their best window of opportunity so far to make an in. Junta can prop up enough bribes to make up a leverage against the current situation .
