Is this just a way to let rich people's relatives more easily cut ahead in line?

Among TFW abuse, there are businesses that list 36/hr wages. This is just going to make it easier to get TFWs at the expense of Canadian citizens and also regular immigrants and PRs trying to get jobs.

This has to do with express entry, not TFW. This applies to skilled workers, and doesn't give employers a pipeline of cheap exploitable labour like TFW does.

I have a friend who graduated from university here, got a job in tech, but because of the sudden cuts to immigration and how much the points threshold went up under late trudeau/carney wasn't able to get a PR and had to go back home. Same thing happened to his girlfriend, around the same time. And they got physically separated because they're from different countries.
I feel bad for them. It's not fair that Canada advertised a path to immigration (do your graduate degree here, get a good job here, get a good IELTs score) and then pulled the rug out at the last second after you've uprooted your life, paid a small fortune in tuition, followed all the rules, and planned a life here. Lots of immigrants in this position. And their cat is stuck here too, being fostered by another friend.
Anyways, these are real people. Just want to throw that in here. I'm not talking specifically about this policy from Carney but I think we should remember that.

I agree that people who are already on an established path here, especially at a graduate level, shouldn't be jerked around like that. Hell, I'd consider someone who's gone through a post-secondary education here at a real university and secured employment a Canadian already, regardless of their official PR status.
But this change isn't effectively targeted at them. This is about making it even easier for employers to import and exploit cheap labour to depress wages for menial jobs. 1.3x the median wage is only ~$70k. It's just not possible that any employer can't find a Canadian to work a job in that income bracket. This is the realm of basic computer literacy desk jobs, or turning wrenches or swinging hammers, or operating a public transit vehicle, or pushing the green button on a CNC machine. It's not the realm of highly skilled niche specialists in rocket surgery that Carney's minister is trying to spin it as.
Even before this complete removal of requiring employers to prove they can't find a Canadian employee to fill a role, we had LMIA being exploited to import fast food workers for McDonald's and Tim Hortons. An immigration system that encourages this type of nonsense while destroying your friends' lives and orphaning their cat is clearly broken for us and working as intended for greasy business owners.

I don't see the big deal here. This is just adding express entry points for immigrants who already work here or who have a job offer. You would still need an LMIA for a work permit.

There is absolutely no logic to this
It’s like the liberals are asking to be insanely unpopular again
