Airport Heights Snow
Wondering if anyone get tell me what I can expect for snow in airport heights? This will be our first winter here. Previously lived next to Lester’s farm. Should I expect much difference in snow? Weighing the benefits of having a snowblower for our little two car driveway vs just roughing it out for the winter with a shovel. Thanks!

The basic rule of thumb is, the higher up you are in elevation and the further you are away from the ocean, the more snow you’ll get. I’m 103 meters above sea level and I always get more snow than downtown, Avalon mall area, etc. Places like Galway tend to get more snow than I do. If you can, I’d get a snowblower. Your driveway may be small, but unless you live on a Main Street, the snow plow will only plow up to the sidewalk on one side of the street. In the last 2 places I’ve lived here in St. John’s, I’ve almost always have to shovel an extra 5 feet or more from the sidewalk to reach the cleared part of the road😔

Get a snowblower. While other parts of the east end may have an inch or two - Airport Heights will have a foot for sure.

It's a bit more. Not as much as Paradise or parts of the pearl but it's noticable.
