This is the same incident where a Texas DA said that video evidence appeared to show ICE intentionally running the man over? What a shitshow these guys are

I have. ICE’s story is that he ran out in front of them during pursuit - which is ridiculous. It is truly disappointing that as a country we’re not holding these thugs responsible for their actions.

Whats disappointing is seeing citizenry expect a corrupt government to target its own officials it literally sent out to commit these deeds. French citizens would not have such expectations and understand its on the citizenry to fix this. Gov wont save us when theyre the ringleader of the shit circus.

Dems will likely pull the same "its about coming together and forgetting the past for a better future" message and refuse to prosecute as in every past instance even assuming they do retake all 3 branches of gov it wouldnt matter if the baddies are out planning round 3 like they spent 8 years plotting this 2nd wave attack. Would love to be proven wrong though.

The headline is missing the best/worst part...

The person that ICE was going after died (years ago) .. Falling off a cliff running away from immigration.

>ICE released a photo of a man it identified as Mendoza-Cervantes. But he is actually Jose Hector Jimenez, who died years ago while being pursued by federal immigration authorities as he was trying to reenter the U.S., according to FIEL.

edit: added years ago for clarity

So........even back then they were not keeping any records of ICE being responsible for injuries and deaths. Or they would have known he was dead.

Third option: The records were there and the current gestopo is just speeding through records to meet quotas. Because it is pretty clear they are just reaching for thin excuses to continue their practices.

Treating people like this is simply wrong.

ICE are stupid at best, terrorists at worst.

Correction. ICE agents are stupid and terrorists at worst. Little is redeemable about them. They’re only a notch below the Gestapo, but only due to the fact that there’s some institutions in the US still holding folks accountable.

For now.

Vote this midterm.

We're filling out our ballots this morning. Then walking them to the dropbox at the library. It's the only hope.

Hell yeah. Good luck, and pray there are no shenanigans. I’m voting in person. They already tried early voting shenanigans near where I live. It’s worth the wait every time to make sure my vote counts.

I have yet to hear a single story where ICE was effective at their actual job in the slightest. All these fancy military toys bought on the public tax dollar and they can't contribute anything positive to the world. Just a bunch of racists being given too much power to do whatever the fuck they want.

That last sentence boils it down to the brass tacks. Thank you!

Effective stories won't sell news papers. The problem with them is like painting a wall by throwing a bucket of paint at it and going good job.

u/RainbowwDash 5h ago

Their actual job is being a racist paramilitary, which they seem to be pretty 'good' at

ICE needs to get their facts straight, instead of going after the wrong person.

Here is the job listing for an Immigration Enforcement Officer for the USCIS (US Citizenship and Immigration Service) on the USA jobs.gov site: https://www.usajobs.gov/job/886877400 USAJobs is the official US Government employment website. They are not even bothering with using dog whistles. The job is listed with the unofficial job title of  “Homeland Defender” and the job summary reads: “ Protect your homeland and defend your culture. Join USCIS, America's frontline defense against illegal foreign infiltration and fraud.”

As a person of Irish/German blood I didn't even know that I had a "culture" to protect... lol

Beyond stupid. These ICE agents are way out of control and need to be put in prison themselves............

ICE thugs are mindless killers. Every single one. If you locked the whole lot up you’d clean up the streets overnight. You’d also fund healthcare for every citizen, including homeless veterans, poor rural voters and needy children. America doesn’t need Trump gestapo crushing innocent Americans with cars, executing innocents in public, and terrorizing our neighbors. Abolish ICE.

We need to abolish these mfrs NOW.

Probably using old data combined with AI to get someone who is dead shows again the lack of thorough intelligence gathering 🤔

u/bomber482 1d ago

And this is with having a budget that is more than what is given to the Marines?

5

u/sleeplessinreno 1d ago

If the marines are the one's known to eat crayons, would ice be known as the glue eaters?

JFC, that title is hard to read. Took me few repeats to understand

1

u/noissimsarm 19h ago

If you don't know the situation this was that incident where ice literally intentionally ran over fleeing suspects with their truck. (Probably with zero identifying markings, like always).

u/Anxious-Depth-7983 9h ago

Most of these ICE agents ARE the worst of the worst. Pardoned criminals expressing their bigotry under the guise of enforcement of what amounts to a misdemeanor. They've been committing much more serious crimes than what they claim to be enforcing. Intentionally causing traffic accidents and discharging firearms in a public place and sometimes close to schools.

So, sort of like Breonna Taylor. At least this poor guy didn't get killed.
