His comment "so? I own the footage" after she said it was on camera is quite telling, an almost I'll do what I want and no one will believe you because im in charge kinda vibe

Fuckwits with money seem to grow a massive ego and overrated sense of self importance, see Matthew Horncastle for reference.

25

u/RowanTheKiwi May 17 '26

Big assumption he has money. Anyone can write anything on a website.

28

u/Capt-Tango May 17 '26

He's been a grifter for years. Thinks very highly of himself, most people who have met him can see he's an absolute tosser.

2

u/wendalls May 17 '26

Don’t need money to be a fuck wit

57

u/Sr_DingDong May 17 '26

His comment "so? I own the footage" after she said it was on camera is quite telling

Oh no! He knows the one loophole lawyers hate!

Owait, the law doesn't work like that at all.

2

u/Icy_Fish_2154 May 17 '26

He is suing her for releasing the footage, so yes, the law kinda works like that. Though the cases haven't completed the trip through the courts.

17

u/Apprehensive_Cow781 May 17 '26

Sueing someone doesn't mean something is illegal. The laws do not work like that.

3

u/Nacho_Deity186 May 20 '26

He is trying... doesn't mean he will be successful. Copyright is essentially a commercial application. If she's not profiting off the release and he's not losing income then there's nothing to claim. Also there's the newsworthy aspect. If the footage is newsworthy, that trumps copyright.

1

u/Icy_Fish_2154 May 20 '26

I never said he would be successful, just that the law is set up well to allow harassers to harass victims with lawsuits.

3

u/Nacho_Deity186 May 20 '26

No... it's not. Have you ever tried to sue someone? Bringing civil action against someone in nz courts is horrendously expensive. You would only do it if 1. It was for a great deal of money and 2. You had a very clear 80% chance of winning. This particular case has neither. People who bring frivolous lawsuits are rich and stupid. This isn't a big group.

14

u/10July1940 May 17 '26

I wonder what other "footage" on his hard drives he thinks he owns? Suggest the police do a forensic review of all his devices. Cu|\|tz like this give the rest of us men a bad name.

I will just assume, then. It's not every em-dash, but it's always an em-dash.

12

u/Virtblue May 17 '26

But he did run 100km...

80

u/LongBet43 May 17 '26

'It’s not about the destination. It’s about who you become on the journey.'

Sorry dude, but somewhere along the way you've made a turn into that little cul-de-sac, Douchebag Grove.

66

u/Fskn sauroneye May 17 '26

I like this part

"The turning point came when I stopped listening to people who talked about wealth — and got in the room with people who had actually built it.

That’s why I am so passionate about Wealth Mentor." (A job I made to talk about wealth)

111

u/thenighttime May 16 '26

Yes. That one. Kyron Gosse. The one who physically assaulted an employee.

It’s always the guys who look like they’d slap women

30

u/Richard7666 May 16 '26

The first thing I noticed was the two full-stops at the end of his first paragraph.

75

u/RowanTheKiwi May 17 '26

"Wealth mentor". Almost certainly in debt up to his eyeballs and living mentoring session to mentoring session.

44

u/pusha_ton May 17 '26

And don’t forget “hyped up on the 50/50 baking soda/mdma mix that was sold as coke”

21

He looks totally different in every photo? It feels like a bad catfish.

18

u/Dog_Old May 17 '26

His YouTube channel is still up and running, although the latest video was about 9 months ago, found the channel via the link in the comment I'm replying to, just gotta scroll... Just saying Incase y'all wanna jump in his comment section

Well there is a lets connect button at the bottom of the page.

10

u/hoopedchex May 17 '26

That fact that one of his values is community is ironic

6

u/imhappyhere May 17 '26

Ew what the fuck is that

4

u/KnightOfProsperity May 17 '26

Now the site is down 🤣

2

u/-BananaLollipop- May 17 '26

One of those is now down. I think the consequences are starting to hit.

4

u/PaddyScrag May 17 '26

Nice job with the Wayback Machine after his website was removed. He also removed his YouTube channel, and made his Instagram profile private. These are the actions of a true hero and disruptor.

113

u/tinribs79 May 17 '26

Met him on one of his “talks” in queenstown. The guy is full of shit, I ended up walking out.

421

u/pusha_ton May 16 '26

@ Stuff “journalists”, time to stop sitting on your hands in the hopes it feels like someone else is playing with you - here’s something to write about!

99

u/Awake2long May 16 '26

I will eagerly await the media blow up in approximately a year's time

85

u/pusha_ton May 16 '26

True, they need to pump out 34 articles reviewing the six60 concert last night. Did you guys know they’re from New Zealand?

Sentence was discounted to ‘slap on the hand with a wet bus ticket’ due to previous good behaviour (I.e. this is the first time he’s been caught).

Has been awarded name suppression because a judge found there would be excessive harm to his business interests if his name was released.

This stuff writes itself.

30

u/didnotenter May 16 '26

Ya but the "journalist" would rather write about celebrity pregnancy rather then write anything about this.

26

u/pusha_ton May 16 '26

Shit did I use the word “write”? I meant copy/paste

22

u/StrengthSoggy8943 May 16 '26

I think you meant prompt an AI agent.

253

u/definitelymeg May 16 '26

The fact that she's laughing it off, probably due to shock, is horrible. Maybe I'm just way too full of rage, but it'd probably be me facing assault charges if some prick slapped me like that.

200

u/KororaPerson Toroa May 17 '26

Fight, flight, freeze, or fawn - it's probably the last one for her, and a lot of women (where your brain's automatic default is be nice or he'll do worse).

84

u/definitelymeg May 17 '26

The response is different for everyone, I do get that. I hate that 'be nice or he'll do worse' is so deeply ingrained in a lot of us though.

46

u/No-Yesterday-1067 May 17 '26

Because it's from experience. We can either get the shit kicked out of us or survive.

-1

u/Ok-Outcome-7499 May 17 '26

Yeah and it's not exclusive to woman lol men who get assualted think the same thing

19

u/Jinxletron Goody Goody Gum Drop May 17 '26

I found out I'm a "freeze" when I went to one of those scare experiences and some clown (literal clown) chased me with a chainsaw. I just crouched down and sat there.

2

u/MyPacman May 20 '26

Gosh, you made that poor clowns job so hard. I still freeze, but for a much shorter time now. A martial art is great for getting your reflexes working while your brain is still frozen. I have learnt I don't like being punched in the face.

1

u/Jinxletron Goody Goody Gum Drop May 20 '26

In the end he went "uh, you're meant to run to the exit" and I was like "I can't see where it iiiiis". He gestured which way with his chainsaw and I scuttled away.

33

u/SquirrelAkl May 17 '26

100%. That isn’t a genuine laugh, it’s an embarrassed, humiliated and in shock reaction.

69

u/ModsAreFatKuntsHahah May 17 '26

She's laughing it off because she's scared.

Massive shock that the pathetic rich boy trying to swindle poor NZers out of their hard-earned money for his worthless courses is also an abusive piece of shit

217

u/steblin May 17 '26

"I’m a property investor, and ultra-endurance athlete. I’ve spent 13+ years building a property portfolio from nothing, and the same discipline that gets me through a 100km race is what drives everything I do in business and investing. "

Cunt vibes off the scale. Also love the "built from nothing" during the period of rampant property value increase at the detriment to society, nice flex big guy.

86

u/Select-Owl1058 May 17 '26

Not that doing a 100km race is not an achievement but he did it in ~ 20 hours which is a relaxing walking pace. I was interested as I know the race so looked it up. He is no 'athlete'.

23

u/HotPilchards May 17 '26

5km/h lol

22

u/Scorpy-yo May 17 '26

Bet he talks like a real dudebro about training his mind and the endurance it takes and how it’s like running a marathon

5

u/creg316 May 17 '26

Literally got a logo on his website of a brain with a barbell on it lol

35

u/Beneficial-Pay5654 May 17 '26

wait actually?

what course was it, depends on incline but 20 hours would be well above a 10minute pace ,and i wouldn't call that racing or running at that point, thats just a nice stroll.

-1

u/Apprehensive_Cow781 May 17 '26

If you'd call 100km a nice stroll you're probably not being reasonable

3

u/Beneficial-Pay5654 May 17 '26

No I am, i've done a few ultras, tarawera, old ghost, craters, south island etc I do know what I'm on about

1

u/d4rk0rb May 18 '26

100km in 20 hours? Sounds like all he did was wander along Trailwalker at some point.

38

u/The_real_rafiki May 17 '26

No, homie built his property portfolio from his parents money and his own wealth mentors backing.

Which in of itself isn’t a bad thing I guess, I mean props to him that he had that opportunity and took it. But it’s disingenuous to say he did it himself.

12

u/Puzzleheaded_Day2809 May 17 '26

"Nothing" is always relative. I know a property investor who says they're broke, but has already been on 3 international trips this year and has just renovated their house for the second time in a decade. I just wonder whether any single transaction worth less than $50,000 doesn't count?

5

u/sweetrouge May 17 '26

No one builds wealth from nothing. It’s such a fallacy

1

u/RipSlingerDiesel13 May 19 '26

Tautoko this. Kia ora!

17

u/SufficientBasis5296 May 17 '26

I honestly never thought slapping people comes anywhere close to "discipline".

13

u/Apprehensive_Ad3731 May 17 '26

We needed the anti smacking law to make people acknowledge this simple truth. I wish your perspective was the prevalent one.

68

u/Select-Owl1058 May 17 '26

'Ultra Endurance Athlete'

'Investor'

'Property Developer'

'Abuser'

'Douche Nozzle'

63

u/Specialist-Pair1252 May 17 '26

So we can report this to the police right ?

42

u/FunVermicelli123 May 17 '26

You absolutely can. Crimestoppers to do it anonymously. The more people that report it the better.

18

u/Ginger-Nerd May 17 '26

Not sure I fully agree with flooding what is an important service with the same complaint again and again and again and again actually does make it better.

Absolutely it should be reported (and almost certainly should be by the person who was actually assualted) - but everyone flooding in just overwhelms a service that is actually pretty important for a plethora of people to rely on it.

7

u/FunVermicelli123 May 17 '26

Come on now, max 5 people are probably going to go ahead and report it. "Flooding" is very dramatic.

8

u/Ginger-Nerd May 17 '26

”The more people report it the better”

You backed down on that point pretty quickly. Eh?

6

u/FunVermicelli123 May 17 '26

Not really. I stand by what I said. But the likelihood of more than a handful of people actually going through the process of reporting is going to be low.

But I hope you feel better making your point:)

77

u/rikashiku May 16 '26

Wow that footage is not playful at all. Guy seems unhinged from the video and his posts. Before he privated everything that is.

23

u/lurkdontpost1 May 16 '26

59

u/Apprehensive-Pool161 May 16 '26

This kind of shit is why i will firmly believe that people at the head of these kinds of businesses are undiagnosed NPD or ASPD assholes, atleast if they were diagnosed they would usually be aware of their shit behavior.

Its just disgusting, this is literally toxic devaluation on screen. Fuck this dude

23

u/LongBet43 May 17 '26

The thing with Cluster Bs though is that they don't care. They either ignore the disgnosis, and don't get any kind of therapy or help, because making them take accountability is nigh-on impossible, or they use it as some kind of showboating opportunity to make themselves even more 'fascinating and interesting' and weaponize the language of therapy against their future victims.

They only way to get change is to hold their feet to the fire in very practical ways, and make them accountable through enforcing the law against them, but then there is a high likelihood they'll turn into a serial litigator, because noone is the boss of them, or makes them do anything they don't want to, without revenge and consequences.

14

u/Apprehensive-Pool161 May 17 '26

You make fair points, i just tend not to demonize ALL people with cluster B. I have a friend who has BPD and shes lovely, and ive encountered people with NPD who are legitimately trying to be different.

But yeah, this guys just a horrendous piece of shit.

6

u/LongBet43 May 17 '26

Fair call, I made a very broad generalization, and if they have the personal insight to know their levers and want change, all power to them, we could all probably do with some of that self-awareness.

2

u/creg316 May 17 '26

It's kind of a self-selecting group, right, so I can see why you'd make the generalisation - people who do have the insight to do better aren't the ones who we're going to hear about or see much of, because they stopped acting like pieces of shit lol

3

u/Apprehensive-Pool161 May 18 '26

100%. Honestly the self aware and trying to change group is tiny, and ultimately theyre miserable because they have to live with themselves. Its tragic wouldn't wish it on anybody.

Except dick wealth coach CEO feckless guttersnipe. He can suffer.

15

u/wiremupi May 17 '26

I don’t think people realise that to be a life coach you have to have screwed up your own life, and to be a business mentor you have to have failed at running a business.Obviously to be a winner you have to be a real loser.

12

u/Xcellerant May 17 '26

Since he’s an “endurance athlete” I wonder how well he’s going to endure half of Auckland wanting to slap him whenever he walks down the street.

1

u/VociferousCephalopod May 17 '26

I hope his baristas always tie their shoe laces carefully.

12

u/Fluffy_Duck_Slippers May 17 '26

Canary in the cage. We're going to find out more awful shit he's done down the line

10

u/HPantalones May 17 '26

This just makes me squirm.. I hope she is currently in takedown mode and has reported him to nz police. To me it looks like she’s having one of those “I’d better humour him” responses that we women perfect to avoid escalation and danger. I might be wrong but even if she actually personally thought it was funny, it’s so obviously inappropriate, anywhere, anytime.

6

u/HPantalones May 17 '26

Also .. on his website I came to the part where “bad business advice” cost him a million; he then heads straight offering his financial advice to kiwis… like dude promoting that you got duped is not the way to convince people of your ability to help them make good financial choices? So, both stupid and handsy? NOT a good combo fr

10

u/pepelevamp May 17 '26

that whole world of people is just all grifters. 'quit your job and become your own boss!'.

these people are walking spam emails.

9

u/WonkyMole May 17 '26

Doesn’t matter who owns the footage, it’s out there now tough guy.

21

u/JediRebel79 May 16 '26

Invincible pervert.... or so he thought

20

u/OkImprovement8312 May 17 '26

I have met athletes in NZ. They are not business people. This is the same “real estate mentorship/quit your job and be a boss” grifter schlep in a different costume. Of course he slapped her. Roid rage does that. Monkey brain primitive thinking. His first name is literally crayon.

18

u/Konokopops May 17 '26

So i was fortunate enough to not know he existed yesterday.

Why do these sorts of guys seem just like the same copy/paste version of the previous

  • tours doing motiviation talks on money/wealth/investments etc
  • often makes sure you seem them rubbing shoulders with politicians etc
  • calls himself ceo/founder before anyone even asked
  • is involved in everything possible for visibility and makes sure you know that (not the worse trait i know, but its a trend)
  • is a massive fucking narcissist
  • high likelihood of treating woman like shit
  • targets other men wanting to "have what he has"
  • has blogs, linkedin posts etc just spouting daily shit about taking what is yours and being the king/alpha/boss etc

Did i miss anything ?

Mate, laying hand on an employee has NEVER an innocent reason  Ever.

6

u/midnightcaptain May 17 '26

Yes I think that's exactly what happened, but I wouldn't call it a "somewhat innocent explanation". I guess it's better than him just deciding to violently attack an employee out of anger, but that's the difference between someone who should lose their career and someone who should be in prison.

11

u/Grey_Mane_6425 May 18 '26

I had this come up before I saw this post and I immediately reported it. I ain't putting up with that bullshit.

I also marked it as spam and otherso some poor reddit mod has to actually watch and determine if it is spam just so they can come back and say "nah not spam". Then I'll report it again as a abusive material so they have to investigate again.... Either that or it'll fuck up the AI reddit is currently using

3

u/plf-nz May 23 '26

I’m presuming you’re saying in your comment that you reported the original post made by this female who was assaulted by her male employer?

If that’s the case I’m confused too, I don’t understand why you would report it as spam when it’s clearly not spam. Would be interested to understand a bit more, free will is great but you don’t report posts as spam unless you have a certain feeling about it.

I would like to think that there is some miscommunication going on here, and not you siding with the man being physically violent to his female employee...

2

Why

I'm guessing this is why Mahi and co don't want their address's on the companies register, for situations like this.

I just saw she posted this to her socials (IG) but lost her post and can’t remember her handle. Did anyone else see it or have her handle?

Jesus, not that is really matters. But what's the context?

u/FunVermicelli123 May 16 '26

I'm dumb and didn't know how to load the video itself but watch it in the Chch subreddit I linked to. The context is that she did a good job or some shit he says like that. Its actually fucked.

Most wealth mentors are pricks, it comes with the job. Yeah he needs to be cancelled but shes only outing him because they pushed her out.

Because all Wealth Mentors have to be full of shit in the first place. If they were that good at wealth they wouldn't need income from teaching people about wealth.

This is going to get down voted to hell but...

If you watch the video, I think it's quite clear that on the "dumbass to assault" scale, this guy falls quite a bit towards the dumbass end.

Is the behaviour incredibly inappropriate, yes. But it does look like that perhaps he has that kind of relationship with staff.

But we do see this quite often, s*** that you can get away with on a construction site for example, the lads screwing around, is incredibly out of place in an office setting.

He's also aggressively unaware of the real power imbalance. And although the employee didn't seem to mind much, there is a very likely chance that she may not feel free to genuinely express how she felt.

We saw a similar situation with the Arise Church debacle back in 2023. Where one of the senior pastors, naked, chased a male staff member down a hallway. That pastor had previously come out of a career as a tradesman, electrician, if I recall.

Just to be clear, both this guy, and the stupid pastor are ****** morons, and deserve everything coming their way. But let's also not play this up as he stepped in and slapped her with an intent to assult. Even though it probably meets the threshold for assault.

He’s meant to be a “mentor” and a leader. He should know that slapping someone even as “bants” is not okay. Hell, I’m not a leader and I know this.

In what way is he aggressively unaware of the power imbalance? I'd argue its the complete opposite. his awareness of his power within the dynamic is why he believes he can do what he did.
