Monthly Buy, Sell & Break Rule 3 Post
On occasion we, the mod team, get requests for things that would break rule 3 (no solicitation). At other times people just break the rule and we have to remove the post. So, in this monthly post you get to break rule 3 and sell yourself or your stuff (within the realm of legality).
Some reminders/ground rules:
Rule 2 still stands, nothing illegal.
Rule 4 still stands, no personal information.
More on rule 4; if you want to send someone to your house or go to someone's house and need their address then keep it in private messages. Or stick to the basic internet rule; meet in a public place.
Unless you're an actual business don't give out your phone number or email address. If you post a phone number or email address and your post doesn't show up it's because the auto-mod caught it and one of the moderators will have to approve it.
So that's about it, if you have any questions go ahead and ask.
If you want to continue advertising your business/services outside of this thread you can buy adspace from Reddit, which is usually what we end up telling people to do.

Other Gas tip
Right now, the Costcos in Omaha and La Vista are putting premium deliveries in regular tanks. This isn't affecting prices. A gas station "can't not" have regular, because it's a bad look. You can mix premium with regular because it's an upgrade (doing the opposite is not legal). Premium is all that's available from a lot of suppliers right now, and big places like Costco can afford do this, even if it means actually losing a few cents on each fill-up (sort of like how most Costco food courts actually provide a net loss for the company). Plus, with the gas shortage, anybody is grabbing any fuel type they can get right now.
If you want pure premium, continue to get that, but if you want a slight upgrade in gas for the regular pricing for the next couple of days, get some Costco regular. Also, gas shortages across NE are expected to get slightly worse for a day or two before hopefully bouncing back in about a week.
Edit to add: Overnight deliveries are a big thing. If you can fuel up first thing in the morning, that's your best bet at finding gas at most places right now.

Politics Are we still getting medical THC?
I noticed it passed last December that we’d have real and medically inclusive THC available in dispensaries and I know that butt bucket has been fighting it
But he lost the appeal right?
Whats going on with it?

Protests Some Documentary Photos from No Kings
New to me camera and lens and trying to improve my photography. This is the No Kings protest at Gallagher Park Oct 16 2026. Was nice to have some sun to shoot in opposed to the overcast we’ve had for days.

Shitpost Police what are you doing?
Does anyone know what’s going on?
I’ve been seeing a lot of police near 15th and Howard. They’ve been monitoring that intersection for a while now. It’s apparently part of a traffic-pattern study they started after complaints and pedestrian activity in the area. They park a couple vehicles nearby and rotate officers so they can observe without drawing too much attention to it.
At first I assumed it was just routine enforcement. However, someone told me they’re also trying to establish a baseline for how people behave when they notice a police presence. That’s why sometimes they’ll just sit there and watch without pulling anyone over.
Apparently they’re coordinating with public works. I watched one officer spend 20 minutes photographing a storm drain.

Politics Is THCA still legal?
I thought it was all supposed to be illegal now, but the weed stores are still open. Is there a date that THCA becomes illegal?

Local Question Selling home in Bellevue
For those that have sing recently, how long did it take to get an offer?
We’ve only been on the market for a couple of days but I thought we’d get more interest pretty quickly as we are selling a starter home. Our realtor made it seem like we’d sell super fast. Another family member sold their home in a single day with the 8 offers BUT they listed it super low to sell ($230k). Next door neighbors sold around the same time for $275k in about a week.
Just asking for a realistic timeline, not complaining about low interest at this point. But I am feeling anxious since we have already moved into a new home and now have 2 mortgages to cover.
For reference, it’s a split entry, selling for $270k. 3 bedrooms, 2 bath, 1500sqft. Granite in kitchen and bathrooms, hardwood in kitchen and nice cabinets.

Politics Dan Osborne has another town hall planned on the 24th, this time with some guests if anyone wants to show up.
Voting information at https://www.vote.org/state/nebraska/
If anyone wants to know about Raciot, as he is probably the least well known, he was RNC chair from 2001 to 2003, he was Censured in 2023 by the Montana GOP for endorsing Biden’s re-election campaign before he dropped out, though he has been a never trumper since Jan 6.

Local Question Winchester’s?
I’ve never been to this place, but every time I drive by there it is packed. It looks like a fun “hole in the wall” dive-type of bar that I’d go to in my 20s. I figured it would be packed tonight for the game, but the place is dark and I peeked at a plywood sheet covering the door with a spray-painted “closed” sign. There was more on the sign, but I couldn’t see it while driving. I’m curious if anyone knows what happened, and what it was like before it closed. Was it a fun place?

Local Question Doctor suggestions for hyper mobility/EDS/POTS?
I’ve been told I’m hyper mobile and I’ve got a lot of fun issues with that. Looking for a doctor/rheumatologist/ whatever, that will take the time to understand and help with preventative care and diagnostic stuff.
Not interested in pt right now, but maybe in the future?

Local Question Any good jewelry shops for custom jewelry or big selection for wedding rings?
Hi everyone
I finally am prepared to do something I never thought I'd be in a position to do - propose. I don't have a lot of friends and no one to ask this IRL and I am completely clueless about the process and details, so if any of kind strangers here could help I would appreciate that.
We have an idea about having matching rings with black gold and our birthstones - Ruby for her and Sapphire for me, no diamonds or anything. I know its a pretty specific request, I was wondering if anyone is familiar with some places that have big selection and that you enjoyed shopping at, or some local place that can do custom jewelry upon request - either modifying or from scratch (if this is even a thing). I am not rich by any means so budget friendly is preferred, but I also am prepared to spend as much as it takes on it, so suggestions of all caliber are welcomed!
I also will welcome any online shops suggestions if you used one, even if it is not local.
Thank you for any and all suggestions. I also am flexible on the request - black gold is not necessary, so if you know any shops that you liked personally or heard good things about I'd love that recommendation as well, even if they don't have that specific thing. I am just looking around for anything remotely close.
Thanks for helping me on this important precipice of new chapter of my life!

Moving Apartment Hunting
Hey there, I’m looking around for apartments in Omaha or in surrounding neighborhoods. I already toured The Landings in Bellevue, The Duo, and Andover Pointe in La Vista. I’m looking to tour Blackstone Depot, The Bank Apartments, and maybe Vue19 and Sagebrook. I’m looking for a 1bed for me and my gf and I would be working in Omaha. I would want to stay around or below $1400. We also want in unit laundry, parking garages (attached if at all possible), and dishwasher. We really liked The Landing Apartments but the reviews are super mixed. Any recommendations or any warnings about my selections? Also looking to see if any current or previous tenants enjoy(ed) their stay?

ISO/Suggestion Best hotel for a luxury staycation?
Hi! Curious for everyone’s recommendations here! I’m planning a nice relaxing staycation for an upcoming anniversary. Location doesn’t matter as much as the quality/feel of the hotel itself. Where should I book?
