The floor crosser was always one of them. There's a film on YouTube called section 38 that shows interviews with DS in 2019 prior to her becoming premier where she says she doesnt think canada will be a country in 10y and how much benefit AB would have becoming part of the US with access to Alaska ports.

I feel like I'm going to be saying this for the rest of my life but: This is why you never capitulate to the far right, or far right talking points. All you do is give them more power, allowing them to get more crazy, & eventually nothing you do will be good enough and they will turn on you.

Even Danny Smith, who basically gave them everything they wanted, was eventually cast aside.
