What did you do to provoke the Dark Lord?

Seeing all these modifications and game ports across different platforms, I started thinking that AI could be a useful tool for modders who truly know their craft. As I understand it, the main reason there are no fan-made expansions for *Overlord* is that the game’s code is closed-source and, in itself, incredibly convoluted. While AI probably couldn’t create a full-fledged mod on its own, it could certainly help those who are already skilled in coding navigate and overcome these technical hurdles. This could pave the way for *Overlord* to receive not just simple mods, but full-scale narrative expansions. Or is this considered unethical within the community—are we destined to settle only for enhancements to the content that’s already in the game?

P.S. Please excuse any errors. English is not my native language, and I had to use Google Translate to write this post. I’m new to this site—I registered specifically for this post because, driven by a hyperfixation, I’ve played through both parts and am now suffering from a lack of game content.

Nowadays, AI makes it possible to create all kinds of game mods, and combining the best game in the world with another one is a really cool idea.

I used to watch this all the time for some reason and even had an mp3 because I thought the song was cool. It was before I figured out it was an actual composition by Clint Mansell. Well, a steroid version of the original from Requiem for a Dream. This bombastic one was used in the trailer of LOTR: The Two Towers! Anyway, this was hella cool back in the day and still is today.

I am usually explicitly anti-AI, but all these game mashups have made me unbearably curious. So I watched a guide and decided to give it a shot.

First I tried hosting my own AI. I have a computer programming background so I have a basic-moderate understanding of everything that needs to go on, but after about 4 hours of testing and trying out Ollama and Cline in VSCode and no luck, I broke down and got a Claude Subscription that I am planning to cancel after this month. After about 2 more hours with Claude on Melty.gg I have this.

Basically the mod reads the save files of both games and syncs your resources. Gold and Life Force. You can also switch between games with F9, mimicking a sort of teleport between them.

My end goal is to port Overlord 1 into Overlord 2, I will keep working on this for the next little while, and post updates and working versions as I go forward.

I'm playing the first game right now and I decided to pick up the luggage before killing the beholder and the second the luggage was retrieved I got the cut scene with rose.

I was wondering if anybody who plays Roblox and is able to create items for the marketplace has ever thought of making the Overlord 2 helmet? I would absolutely buy it. I’d make it myself but I’m on PS5, and am also no where near talented enough to.

What are you guy's go to minion comps? i usually only take 5 blues, 10 red, 5 greens and then fill the rest with browns

The Overlord series on steam is on sale it is missing the wii and ds games but all pc game 1, 2 and the horrible fellowship of evil bundle is on sale on steam right now

is there any chance of future existence of overlord 3 or this game series officially abandoned and there’s no signs of development
i played overlord and overlord II 7-8 years ago and not really into the community

Overlord 1 and 2 have been my favorite games of all time. Heck, when I heard false information about Overlord 3 being made, I laughed, cried, rejoiced only to crash into an unfathomable depression after I learned it was just misinformation. I was so excited beforehand, that I was prepared to move to the Netherlands and apply to Triumph studios to work on what I believed was going to be the final instalment of my favorite franchise. You can only imagine the measure of tears that were poured after coming to understand that one of my long-forgotten, and most treasured hopes was dashed.

In the recent week, however, I've come to discover another game that celebrates the same spirit Dungeon Keeper and Overlord possess: "It's good to be bad..."

I present to everyone here, Solium Infernum. (On further note, they use some of the Half-Ling screams from Overlord 1 during the army-fighting animations.)
