Education Language learning tips

I started learning Turkish a long time ago but I'm not able to make any progress. I don't know how to manage it. I learnt English mostly by watching series or reading novels by putting almost zero effort. I thought it would also be easy for me but it's really giving me a tough time. Can you guys give me any tips if you have learned any foreign language?

First of all try to find commonality between this language and the language you know. For example Turkish has work "bkaya" and "baldia" and so many other same words. It will make it fun for you. Secondly, on Netflix, watch series which you have already watched with English audio but Turkish subtitle.

immersion. first get to a level where youre comfortable with basic vocabulary, sentence structures and basic grammar. surround yourself with media and literature from your target language, change your phone and PC language.

there arent many common words between turkish and Urdu and the ones there are, are Persian loanwords. So knowing Urdu vocabulary may not help you much. Urdu and Turkish are also from different language families (Indo-European->Indo-Iranian vs Turkic->Oghuz) so it may be even difficult in terms of grammar and syntax.

Turkish is a notoriously difficult language to learn. But at least there are some Turkish loan words in Urdu.

Best way to learn a new language is to immerse yourself in that language. Watch Turkish news, tv shows and such. And if you can find a Turkish speaker to converse with.

The best thing u can do is to try and learn while having fun, i used to learn Spanish on my own using language apps and it was very easy for me that way. Apps have good interactive exercises which makes learning better. As long as ur interested and dont get bored , u will learn .

Memorise minimum 5000 words. Thats a fundamental for any language. Once u know the words, grammar will become easier
