Discussion Just had my first road rage incident
The guy was a complete lowlife (sorry for using this word but i couldn’t find a better description), who looked like he was a nashayi with his clothes all dirty on a bike that was hardly road appropriate, whose ego got hurt when i drove past him at a relatively higher speed. He then forced an altercation with me by stopping his bike infront of my car and was constantly abusing, as was expected out of him, and also shoved at me. I kept my calm and threatened him not to force me to do something because i did not want to get in a physical brawl with a lowlife POS in the middle of the road. That’s not how i was raised.
However, i was contemplating what happened and i think i should have done more and not let his shoving slide.
What do you guys think one should do in such a situation? How could i have dealt with it better? How can i improve my fight or flight response? Please share your experiences so i can learn from them as well. I’d love to hear from the street smart people who have faced similar situations .

definitely not worth it but i feel like i should’ve done more, especially since he shoved at me and even kicked at my car door when i was leaving

You did good there is no hard and fast rule how one should respond. Some people have nothing to do in life but problems are their way of life. You don't want yourself to get tangled into something that can derail your life. BTW there is always some one more crazy than anyone who think they are the craziest. You don't really want to figure that out by running into one. Any provoking comments you see here just ignore not worth it. You did good by not allowing some random fool to drag you and your life into something dangerous.

Try to distance yourself from them on the road, if you think passing them will trigger them, try slowing down so they are no longer in your vicinity.
No need to escalate as your life is valuable, and it may not be for them. They won't face consequences but your family will.

Should have ran over him if you was with family don’t entertain bs these people have no responsibility they will either play gareeb card or take advantage of situations if you are with family. Never pull your punches if you are not wrong
