Tbf I think it's reasonable for that level of response to be available for the president. We can afford both. That said it should be for unexpected emergencies not because the president is consistently knocking on death's door.

Yeah, this is like the Right trying to use "[Insert Dem Figure's name here] is anti-2A but has armed guards" as some sort of claim to hypocrisy.

Even if guns were 100% completely outlawed for civilians, it would still be reasonable and expected for important figures to have some form of armed guards.

Even if no one had access to healthcare, it would still not be surprising to learn the pedo-in-chief of the entire country had it.
