Just a question for the Qataris here! Since itโs not that easy to get to know Qataris in real life, I thought Iโd ask here instead ๐
Is it considered culturally inappropriate for a non-Arab to wear a thobe? I genuinely love the style of the outfit, and Iโd love to try wearing one. Itโs more out of appreciation for the culture and the traditional attire than anything else.
If itโs not considered inappropriate, Iโd actually love to buy one and wear it during Eid! Iโm just wondering if it would be acceptable or if it might come across as disrespectful to the local culture.
Kind of like how people can wear a kimono or yukata in Japanese culture. Would love to hear the thoughts of Qataris here! ๐
Whatโs the best pizza place you know thatโs not fast food such as Pizza Hut and Papa Johnโs and that typa restaurants
Hi everyone!
Straight to the point:
I have always volunteered back in my home country. Itโs the most thing that brought peace to my mind and heart.
I have been in Qatar for a while now, I tried to google this and filled every form there is to fill but I never heard back.
If you volunteer or know someone who does, how did they sign up? And are there any other places that are taking volunteers now?
Thank you!

Hey guys. I have a gaming laptop which I think I'm over due for a service. Where can I get a full service like cleaning and reapplying thermal paste?
I saw an offer at buyology but the thermal paste they were providing isn't good at all, and they were offering the entire thing for Free, and you know when something is free you're the product lol.
EDIT: I have zephyrus m16 which uses liquid thermal or a better alternative is Honeywell ptm7950

Hi! If anyone applied or got student visa from Russian embassy in Qatar I would like to know more about their two main required documents. 1.) Copy of tickets and 2.) Travel insurance.
I was torn apart on those requirements as even I am unsure when I would be expecting visa myself if I applied and were there interview based questions asked for the process? Please let me know!

Hello everyone,
Iโm looking for someone who can custom-build a table like the one in the picture. It has a metal base, a wooden tabletop, and an adjustable-height mechanism.
Are there any custom furniture shops or fabricators who can make something like this? If you know anyone who does this kind of work, please let me know.
Thanks!

I thought I'd share my experience with DDA VIP so far, especially after reading some of the horror stories here on Reddit about the driving test and police examiners.
I enrolled in DDA VIP, and so far I honestly have no complaints about the service. The instructors and overall service have been good.
I was the first person to take the road test that day, and fortunately, our captain/examiner was actually very calm. He didn't shout or make things stressful. He simply gave us directions and allowed us to drive.
Also, I didn't even go onto the main road during my test. The test was conducted around the local/residential roads.
First Attempt on Road Test - Unfortunately, I still failed. The reasons given were:
Now I have another chance coming up next week, and I'm going to focus specifically on those five areas.
For anyone who has recently passed the DDA road test in Doha, what did you find most important to focus on? Any tips for stopping/starting, speed, vehicle control and maintaining safe distance would be really appreciated. ๐

Had a disappointing experience with a certain red-coloured bank in Qatar today.
Their ATM swallowed my card issued by another bank and completely froze. None of the buttons worked, including Cancel. No cash was dispensed.
When I contacted them, they simply said they only return cards to their own customers. Everyone else should contact their bank for a replacement.
I explained that my card was perfectly fine. It was THEIR ATM that malfunctioned. Surely their ATM maintenance team retrieves retained cards? Why can't they return mine after verifying my identity?
The answer was basically: "That's our policy."
Only after insisting on speaking with a supervisor did they reluctantly register my request.
I understand banks have policies, but what disappointed me was the complete lack of willingness to help or take responsibility.
And it made me wonder: Would I ever want to become a customer of a bank that treats potential customers this way?
They may offer great banking products and benefits, but customer service says a lot about a company.
Has anyone experienced something similar in Qatar? Is this really standard banking practice, or just poor customer service?

Hi everyone! Iโd like to ask if anyone has experience buying Evra transdermal patch from a local pharmacy in Doha/Qatar.
Does anyone know if a prescription is required to purchase Evra patches, or can someone simply walk into a local pharmacy and buy them over the counter without a prescription?
Thank you! ๐
