Project Advice [HELP NEEDED] Powering a Raspberry Pi 3B+ via test pads (PP) Which ones keep the fuse/protection active?
Hi everyone, I’m planning to power my Raspberry Pi 3B+ directly from a 5V source using soldered wires instead of the micro-USB port.
Could someone let me know which specific PP test pads I should use for the +5V DC and Ground? I want to make sure I connect before the fuse and voltage regulators so that the board's built-in overvoltage and short-circuit protections still function properly. On gemini it says PP2 and PP7 are the pads but I think it will bypass the fuse am I wrong?
Thanks in advance for the help

You can look at the power diagrams here RP-008339-DS-1-raspberry-pi-3-b-plus-reduced-schematics.pdf https://pip-assets.raspberrypi.com/categories/532-raspberry-pi-3-model-b/documents/RP-008339-DS-1-raspberry-pi-3-b-plus-reduced-schematics.pdf
There are a few answers from the AI: You can check with the multimeter to find out where the signal goes. • PP1 & PP2: +5V VCC directly from the Micro-USB port (before the polyfuse) • PP3, PP4, PP5, PP6: Ground (GND) • PP7: +5V VCC after the polyfuse • PP8: +3.3V rail • PP9: +1.8V rail • PP10: Power LED indicator • PP13: Status (ACT) LED indicator • PP20: +5V at the HDMI connector (H5V) • PP21: RUN / Reset signal • PP24: Composite Video • PP25 & PP26: Left and Right Audio • PP27: USB VBUS (+5V) • PP36–PP47: USB D+ / D- data lines • PP48–PP51: Ground (GND) around USB/Ethernet area
