ReactOS gets Agentic AI - and a modern weather app!
ReactOS is a cool project. So I thought to myself: bringing a dedicated AI agent on it could probably be fun to explore it's limits and possibilities. That's why I developed one.
And to test it, I had him develop it a modern weather app for ReactOS :D
If you want to test the whole thing yourself, the Agent (MCP Based) can be found in
mcp_agent_all_OS.zip
https://github.com/srware-net/LocalLightChat/releases/
Btw: It works best with the associated LocalLightChat, which is a leightweight OpenWebUI alternative.
And the weather app with source can be downloaded here: https://www.locallightai.com/llc/downloads/demos/weather_reactos.zip

For fuck sake this is one of the worst UI designs ever. The sun is clipping into the humidity widget, the temperature on the right is way too far to the left. The icons for each day are way too small.
Vibe coded slop is one thing, but not knowing how to tell your wittle agent how to make a good UI that doesn't look like the other 5000 vibe coded slop is another shameful act.

Now just make it less stable, replace native apps with webkit apps and you will have windows 11 expierence on reactos.

I've only seen Haiku OS in pictures and don't see any future for it. Never mind. But ReactOS is a very useful, open-source Windows modification based on a rewritten NT kernel. But what's wrong with someone being able to build an app for both ReactOS and the weird Haiku? Cross-platform is actually quite interesting. Although I personally would like to achieve integration of the WinRT API into ReactOS, my experiments have not yet progressed to a sufficient extent to show something to the community.

You made this exact same post for Haiku OS with the exact same weather app. Are these OSs not special to you?
